Hello,my name is Svitlana,i am from ukrain.My granfather Teodor(Fedir) Szkilnik was born in Drohobicz (polish ukrain),in 192? (i don`t no date).He was arrested,repression and eviction to Norilsk.Came back to Drohobicz in70-th.Died 13 november 1984 at his home in Drohobicz. emeil:runner-moto@bk.ru

Hello svitlana.my name is stefan skilnyk i saw your note on the forum.My dad was called ihor szkilnyk and was born in draobicz in 1923.i know that he had a brother and sister i dont know there names,my fathers dad was called demetri.My dad came to england in 1946.I'm also on facebook,i nearly came to draobicz last year.my dad told me once there was a town called szkilnyk if so please send me some details about that town.yours stefan szkilnyk.

Hello Stefan.my grandfather was born in Mlynky Szkilnikovy near Drohobych(now it is suburb Mlynky).Look in map Drohobych(Дрогобич (ukr))- Mlynky(Млинки(ukr)).

I believe You and my husband are cousins. Is your father's name Michał? Could you please ask him about Wiśniówka - a small village near Stoczek £ukowski where your grandmother Wiktoria was born. I have a picture (taken in Wiśniówka) of Your father with his aunt Janina Bany and her husband Zdzisław. Janina's children and Your father's cousins are Bożena, Sylwin and Elżbieta. When your father was in Poland in 1978 (?) he took a photo of my husband - Bożena's son.

Hello svetlana ,Thankyou for that bit of infomation about the town of mlynky szkilnovy.My father ihor szkilnyk was born on 10 july 1923 in drohobych i know he had a brother and sister,ihors brother mght have been called stephan szkilnyk and died in canada sometime in the 1960's,IHOR father was called demetry and i know that he died when ihor was 4yrs old so his grandad was called demerto or demetri raised ihor ,i remember my dad telling me once that he was brought up on a farm not fare from drohobych called dris eachy not sure about the spelling,look forward to speaking to you again. stefan szkilnyk , england.
