my Grand fathers Mother was a Victoria Doran who lived in Poland and i see this name turns up in "Starogard Gdanski" and "Szczecinek" does anyone know any of them??

i know its originality an Irish name

Doran is a very rare surname indeed. The most live in northern Poland's Kujawy region (ToruĊ„ area -5, Bydgoszcz - 1), plus 1 each in the Warsaw and Koszalin areas.

Frank Doran was MP for Aberdeen North in Scotland some years back. That's the extent of my knowledge on this name

Its common in Ireland and Scotland but Poland had me stuffed
