Im looking for info on Rybarczyk Family that origantied in Polen

my husbands grand father was from there and his father was born in germany
I really just need to know is it a real common surname there or is there a chance I will be able to follow it

i HAVE A GREAT GRANDFATHER NICHOLAS MICHAEL RYBARCZYK (?) (numerous spellings) who, as far as I can determine, was born in the Upper Silesia region of Prussia (Poland). Where are your ancestors from?
