OP redklusas 6 Apr 2007 / #4Many people say it could be German as well. I have seen the name also spelled Lorenc which was then interpreted/said to be Lorenz. In any event, he was born to Polish parents in the 1880's in Kroscienko Wyzne.

OP redklusas 24 Apr 2007 / #10Do you have any advice on how to contact any of the (4) Przybyla's you mention? A mailing address or ideally an e-mail address would be best. I have not been successful to date in contacting any of these potential relatives. What source did you use to obtain the original data?
Koach 16 | 128 24 Apr 2007 / #11I have a Lorentz relative in my tree. She came from the Mecklenburg-Schwerin area of Germany, I believe.
DragonLady 12 May 2007 / #12My great grandmother was a Przybyla from the Krosno area. I would be interested to compare notes to see if we are from the same family. Her name was Mary Josephine Przybyla and she married Paul Kozubal. All but two of her children immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s.
OP redklusas 17 May 2007 / #13My grandmother grew up in Kroscienko Wyzne near Krosno before emigrating to the US in the early 1900's. She had 4 brothers and 1 sister, Rose, who was born in 1887. Her parents (my great grandparents) were Andrew Przybyla (1830-1899) and Sophie Omachel (born 1849, died ?).
