Thanks, Krysia. I'll email them and ask some questions. £ęki might not have its own church.

Thanks. According to the Mapa Szukacz site, £ęki only has a population of around 690, so the people might go to another town for church.

Hi,

I looked on the Mormons' website. I found a microfilm listing for the Roman Catholic church in Leki. It goes from the 1700's to the 1930's. How would I go about ordering the microfilm? I have a FHC not too far from me. Any help would be appreciated.

ahh now I can help. much more.

print up the film numbers. these you need, so you don't have to do another search
there for the ones you want. cause believe me you will have to.

when I purchased the films for Nowogrod, Lomza (which you want the old province)
make sure you have that. it costs 15.00$ per roll to make it permanent.
and 3.50 a roll for like a month or two ( forgot that part) how long. but I just ordered
the permanents, because my great grandmother is also from this town and I haven't
even begun to get her family records. so its really worth it to just make it permanent
at the local history center, because you are going to want this film again and again
and it takes a long time to read them thru. trust me. your eyes will need pain
medications after you read these microfilms , especially if its in Russian , or Latin

for the Russian ones, the parish copied all the names of everyone who had my grandfathers last name and he let me sort it out, which I still have some to go, but

for the most part, its almost there.

fogort that part

omg, (laughing really hard right now)

I am going to make up my own language tonight. and don't ask me how to spell it
again :)

I see, thanks. So I order the film right at the FHC, then, not on their website?
