Natkaniec Family history search.

I am trying to trace my polish family history but feel i am banging my head against a brick wall.
there is nobody alive in my family to get information from.
they are mostly in Krakow and are called Natkaniec
it is quite a sad story how my grand-father came to england and would love to find out more
please can someone help?

Interesting... I actually met someone of that surname...but not in Krakow... it was in Lodz! Yes...Lodz my land! But in school...

I live in London now, from 2 years, but come from poland, chrzanów, my grandparents come from a country near Cracow.if you are looking for more specific info I am not shore can I help you, but this is interesting - the same surname in England and the same place - near cracow.

More than 1,600 people called Natkaniec in Poland, half of the in the Kraków area and another 300 or so in neighbouring Katowice and envrions.
Probably a toponymic nickname for a native of Natków in that general area. A natka is the the tops or greens of parsley and other root vegetables.
