MareGaea 29 | 2,752 19 Feb 2008 / #7'Plawsky'As far as I understood it, it is a Germanized version of a Polish surname: according to some articles I read the Germans tend to change the last "i" in Polish surnames to a "y" for some reason; maybe they found this easier to pronounce, don't know - you never do with Germans anyway :)M-G
