I am searching for my mother's cousin Johanna Kowalska last in Poznan & a foster sister Maria Uśczyk last in Swientochlowitz. My mother's name is Maria Cichon,born in Swientochlowitz in 1937. Please, if anyone knows this ladies write to me. I can correspond in german & english. Many thanks:-)

have you checked genealogy websites to see if others are looking for the same names.

as tlum explained... kowalski/a is a very popular name... rather like smith in the uk or robinson in the states.

i'd begin my search by looking for usćzyk or cichon
