Hi, I am a second generation Pole born in UK, from Polish parents. I have been looking for many years for my family who originate from Wrzosy, Torun, Poland. My father "Jozef" also, left Torun during WW11 and went to England to fight with the English Army with his brother Wladek "Wladyslaw", their parents were murdered by Nazis but they had 5 sisters and an uncle "Jozef" who remained in Torun, sisters were Regina, Zofia, Tereska, Jaga & Maria, father was Jan & mother was Bronka. My dream is to re-unite my children with their Polish roots, maybe this will never happen, but I will not give up trying. I am at a loss as to what to do, any "genuine" people out there willing to help in anyway, I say this way because I have been let down before by "false prophets" whose agenda I was never sure of. My father always taught me that my heart should always be for Poland and this I never forget.....Pozdrawiam Jozef.

You might start by finding out what Gmina (municipality) Wrzosy falls under, then phone the Urząd Gminy and ask for the Dział Ewidencji Ludności (records dept). They should be able to tell you whether any namesakes are still living in the area. Of course, this presupposes a working knowledge of Polish. Good luck?
