My grandfather and grandmother came across on boat in 1912. they listed there town as "BR Y NSK" or "BR JA NSK" hard to make out name. And that is in Russia, but my mother said they were not Russian, but Polish. My aunt says Russian. Anyone know a bit about the names themselves. I found out "enko" means son of.
And does anyone know is there is a census in Russia or Poland that would list the names in the country, like we have in the US?
1912..Good thing they didn't take the Titanic...
