To start tracing family, begin with known information on your parents, grandparents, etc., always going backwards in time. Records obtain for each generation, will provide information about the previous generation. Talk to family members, especially the older ones & ask questions. Obtain US records for family members: census records, birth, marriage & death records, passenger list. etc.
With more specific information, perhaps we can help more. Immigrant's first names, wife's name, children's' names & birth years for all. Where the they settled in the US & when the came.

Do you live in Poland? It sounds like you are familiar with the name. I have been researching and had found that the spelling was in differant forms. I am 4th generation in the U.S. and I was told that when immegrants would come over to america back then that it was very common for the person taking names down, as they were getting off the ships, to get the wrong spelling. maybe that is why it is differant spelling. Is there anything else you may know?
