Altynski and variations

Vadim Altynskiy
6 Aug 2006 /  #1
Dear all,

I'm Vadim Altynskiy from Kazakhstan. Trying to find my family roots. The surname may spell differently, like Altynski, Altynskiy, Altinski .. or whatever. The fact is that I found in the Ellis Island archives two persons with this surname, coming to New York in 1907. I only know that my grandfather is from Belarus, and his ancestors came from the Polish-Czech border.

Anyone knows how do I proceed with searching, say in Polish genealogical resources?

The last name most likely should be "AltyƄski" - try to google this name (and maybe include "nazwisko" - last name in Polish).
