My family doesn't have any secret recipes :-( .

but I noticed that a common thing like a rosól (chicken stock) tastes differently
depending who makes it. Even my grandmother's tastes differently
than my mum's. Everybody has a different tolerance for saltiness, etc.
so they use different amounts of spices etc.

I once had an experience with someone's kotelty mielone. Nobody could figure out why they were so nice. Like all mielone, they were made with mince, milk-soaked bread rolls, fried onion, but there was something enhancing their flavour no-one could put their finger on. It turned out the cook added a teaspoon or 2 prepared mustard to the mince mixture. Not enough to make them taste mustardy, only to produce a richer, fuller, more rounded and deeper-tasting end product. It was a secret in that the cook revealed this only after quite some time and under pressure.

i add this once spice to things you can't find in a spice rack. You can only find it in chinese noodles packets. Added to soups and meats and other things gives it that extra special flavor.

That is 99% MSG and horrible for you...same stuff that's in Vegeta and all other 'flavour enhancers". It does add flavor but it is poison.

Don't measure ingredients with a measuring cup. Use guesstimates of glob sizes instead!

I can't post those. Otherwise I'd have to kill all who read them. That, I hear, may be illegal in some jurisdictions.
