Does anyone have a good polish recipe for Polish style yams (if there is such a thing)? My cousin e-mailed me and asked because she knew I talked with someone from Poland. Thanks for any suggestions.

not I know of. Polish ppl usually don't eat sweet potatoes.
I don't think they exist.
They occasionally show up in Poland in certain stores and they are called pataty.
Sorry, I meant the recipes don't exist. I can sometimes by yams/sweet potatoes in Wroclaw.
You can find a yam recipe in polish, but it's a translation from Argentina or Brasil or some other country.
I found this one in Polish, but it didn't say how much of each. I guess whatever you prefer:
red beans
coconut milk
cane sugar
sweet potatoes
cinamon
raisins
dried prunes
Mix engredients and boil for 10 minutes till thick. Add sugar to your liking.

Thanks everyone. Personally, I don't care for sweet potatoes, so your suggestions are helpful. Krysia, you ROCK!:)
I just bake them and put salt and butter.
