2-4 hours if set on high, 4-6 if on low. Depending how you like them.
Yeah, you add water. You can also add some pickle juice to jazz it up.

I like food. What can I say.
Roasts are also quite nice when done in a slow cooker. Don't forget to throw in the potatoes carrots, garlic and an onion. Again, brown the roast first.
