What do you think Polish people or Polish Americans feel about polish convenience food? Such as frozen perogies?

My family makes homeade perogies every year and we freeze them for later. What i really meant was things like Mrs T's which you can buy at the grocery store

I'm in the UK shoebox and I've never had shop bought pierogi. I didn't realise you could freeze them. Mind you, I don't cook Polish food. I was raised on it though :)

The only place I've ever found pierogi is at a Polish deli and it's frozen. It's made by a company and shipped here. It's great. The flavor is incredible but it seems high in calories so I don't eat much of it.

However, there are convenience type Polish sausages that are disgusting. Not anywhere near like the real thing.

There's always been a good stock of Polish food here. Pierogi though were always something that were made at home.

Anyone remember Katazynki (spelling) we used to get them for Christmas and some other holidays too. Very nice, I used to love them :)

Wow. Thanks. I see the store is in Chicago. That seems like the place to be. It's definitely on my list of places to visit someday.

They're okay when you have a bad craving for some quick Polish food.

I've tried the shop bought pierogi and they are not in the same league as "proper" home made ones.

Anyone remember Katazynki (spelling) we used to get them for Christmas and some other holidays too. Very nice, I used to love them :)

There's always a plentiful supply of those around here. Well tasty;-)

Dry Ice. Meijer sells it by the pound. Aleksandra Foods has great pierogies. They're available throughout the city in freezer packs.

Visiting fo Taste of Polonia is a better idea.
