Has anyone heard of the Polish tradition of scraping the wine barrels every 100 yrs and drinking that gel-like wine residue at the bottom? I heard this story from a guy who was from Poland and he had adrinking problem. Any ways he said back at the farm him and his friends drank this stuff. He said his legs were numb for two days. Pleases let me know if this practice is real or something idiots do. I think it was called BURE VINE or BACHVA VINO.

Bringing up this interesting topic -- so only every second generation could drink this stuff? It must have been really strong indeed... :)

Not if the barrels were left to age at different times. One could have started 50 years before another. :)
