I've been watching the board for awhile and I think it's really entertaining and imformative however now I wouldn't mind a little help.

What's a good meal that a beginner of cooking polish food as well as cooking in general to make?

Maybe it's some sort of 'smoked sausages' :) And the thing the woman is carrying just looks like a typical hair dryer.

I think Bigos is easy(except time consuming), or maybe Placki.

Merged: I'm married to a polish man, but I cannot cook!

My mother-in-law passed away last year and she never really got the chance to teach me how to cook, real polish food and my husband has been craving some. Can anyone help me please with some recipes? One of the recipes is Beet soup.
