Creation of "Sticky" threads?

Admin/fellow posters, would it be useful to have this per section; so that constantly debated issues or threads always searched for or indeed those that need constant up dating?

Can I therefore suggest one for low cost carriers to keep everyone up to speed!

constantly debated issues

if it is constantly debated then it's on top already. constant updating? every new posts bumps a thread to the top.

True.......plk....but if I see another new thread with......"western jerk seeks gorgeous hot Polish female"....!!

These shouldnt appear each time as a new thread...just lump them together...am sure there are other egs........see the cheap flight thread recently......?!

those would have to be merged by a mod anyway as people like to start new threads and they'll continue to do so.

Maybe.....but not often enough........and really they shouldn't be put on as a new thread anyways...if Polish girls are looking for a guy, then they know were to look!

Perhaps there are better egs......!!

man, i mod a number of forii and there could be a thread right on top, with the very topic one is interested in, and they'll start a new thread anyway. people don't look or search.. they just don't. it's easier to just start another topic.

Oh, I know what you mean. All the threads are displayed according to the time posted and maybe that is what should be changed, so the member will not have all the threads in their face, but only the ones he/she is interested in.

Also, that might reduce the number of nasty comments in regards to single/translation section from people who are bored and have an impulse to comment.

Good idea which will save a lot of time and frustration.
However, one can directly go to threads they are interested in - no?

The same situation is with creating threads in the appropriate section. You originally created this thread in the Poland Vacations and Travel section. Just like some people you're referring to ;).

Good idea which will save a lot of time and frustration.

How would it be possible to know which treads the user is or will be interested in? The Checker, My Threads, and Favorite Threads do a very good job IMO; just take your time to use them :)

Admin...not quite...sorta because I wanted a Low Cost Airline "sticky" thread created in the reelvant section...and where else but the travel section....!!!!!

If someone does a new topic...on....."Wanted hot, salivating, blonde goddess with an artificial leg ...then it should only appear in the relevant section...not listed on the latest topics over view section........to be more specific!

I might suggest that the looking for a "Polish chic" type topics...........are NEVER successful.....why give it extra broadband width?

live me out of this please. I have just been commenting on what Frank has said. Perhap I should not.
The last time I requested somethig from the Adm, my privare life was commented on (don't know why - since you don't know me and speculations were quite annoying and off track), so I am not going to request anything form you gays. I am happy with the PF the way it is.

I am not holding a gruge though - best of luck and thanks for you time.

Still don't understand.. For the topic creator the thread is relevant. For you topics about girls may not be relevant, but for others are ;).

He, he......I have nothing against gay people, it was a spelling mistake not a Freudian slip.

Oh.. Hmm - so you suggest to stick all similar topics so that there's only one thread about monday, one about thuesday, etc.? While it's sometimes a good idea to stick very similar topics, sticking them all would cause a mess (like the Random Chat). Besides, who would want to go through dozens of sticky topics and just to find something new on 10+ page..
