Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any of you know about some job opportunity for a telecom engineer fluent in italian, french, german, english and knowing the very basics of polish. Are there some good companies ? I know that usually there are more opportunities in Wroclaw right ? In any case, whether Warszawa, Poznan or Wroclaw is it true that 3000-3500 PLN netto is already a great salary in Poland ? I mean I know that it is quite good for affording an own flat with around 40 square meters and living correctly but I'm asking myself if this is really the best you can expect when looking for a job as a freshly graduated engineer in Poland... I guess something like 6000 PLN netto is really unconceivable right ? Or maybe I'm wrong and certain international companies would pay that amount at the beginning ?

Any hints about how much a foreigner telecom engineer (with an mgr.inż) and fluent in four languages could earn in the cities mentioned, would be nice !

Good times gone with the wind. I worked as IT guy till 2005 and left for electronics.
My manager took about 6tys but now it is unconceivable salary.

In Olsztyn (shole forgotten by God), experienced welders take 2800 netto, electricians 2500 netto so in bigger cities 4000 - 4500 may be considered as a great salary.

No. 10,000 netto is great - 3000-3500PLN netto is actually below average in those cities.

It's as high as it's going to go for such a person. In your case, you're not going to get it - no Polish means no work.

In all honesty, the only language that matters is Polish.

I disagree. I think that he could find work knowing the languages he knows. I would suggest doing your initial job search where you live now - don't move here until you get a job.

Thanks for your replies :) I actually thought that in international companies as NSN in Wroclaw it is not expected to be able to speak Polish to work there... I guess I should try to know what the situation really is. In any case as pip said, first I'll look for a job and if I find it I'll move ;)
