I have Polish citizenship (from my Polish parent) but I barely speak Polish - I understand some, but we grew up speaking Dutch at home due to an international marriage and other personal reasons. I understand Poland is growing fast in tech, but I'm not sure how realistic it is to find a good-paying job there if I don't speak Polish and was to relocate to Poland.
Some questions I have:
- Are there actually decent-paying jobs in Poland where Polish is not required (especially in tech/programming/high-tech)?
- For someone with my profile (citizen, programming + computers + gadgets, but no formal work record or experience), is it realistic to get hired locally, or should I focus on remote/foreign companies first?
- What cities or industries in Poland are most open to English-only tech workers?
- Any advice on how to bridge the "no experience" gap (projects, internships, communities, etc.) so I can start building a real career there?
I'd really appreciate concrete examples or people's own experiences.
