Strategic partnership of Canada and China

Canada-China

pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2026/01/16/prime-minister-carney-forges-new-strategic-partnership-peoples

Prime Minister Carney forges new strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China. (...) After their meeting, Prime Minister Carney and President Xi released a joint statement outlining the pillars of Canada and China's new strategic partnership.

Wow! Has that really just happened? Right under Trump's nose? What happened to "This is Our Hemisphere"? When can we expect the attack on Canada and the extraction of Mark Carney? :)

Bullying, insults and this...

UC

... very quickly led to this...

hmm

... what will be the reaction of MAGA intellectuals? Hmm... I know... bullying and insulting Europe some more!

xD

No, we shouldn't laugh. This is 5d chess that we don't understand.

I'm surprised you haven't read his comments already. I posted on here yesterday that Trump has threatened 100% tariffs on Canada ( yet again ) for that trade deal.

Think he might be a tad p!ssed.

This is 5d chess that we don't understand.

Considering Trump's behaviour, US allies are no longer able to trust the US. I'm not surprised Canada is looking elsewhere to make deals. Starmer is due to fly to Beijing this week hoping for a trade deal too.

Perhaps leaders are thinking that they trust Xi more than Trump. Mark Carney is certainly no idiot.

Meh... tariffs-srariffs. I want to hear about discombobulators, annexations and extractions. ;)

Even the UK? The traditional American Trojan Horse in Europe are going to China? Whatever next?

Perhaps leaders are thinking that they trust Xi more than Trump.

Well, Xi is definitely more predicable, but does it mean more trustworthy? Interesting...

They might be for dessert ;)

Even the UK?

Yep. Have you not heard that Starmer gave the go ahead for the new Chinese super embassy in London? We appear to be welcoming China with open arms.

but does it mean more trustworthy?

I never thought I'd hear myself say it but right now I'd trust Xi and Putin more than I would Trump. I wrote on this forum back in 2016 that I thought Trump was a dangerous man and I still think that he is.

Trade deals are going to be sought elsewhere while the US p1sses off the entire world and it looks like leaders are viewing Xi as the lesser of two evils.

Where this will end up who knows....but I feel this is all going to backfire badly for the US.....

Shocking... the alliances are indeed shifting.

Some people think that Trump started acting the way he did because he got scared of the global confrontation with China and decided to fold and withdraw to his "hemisphere". Hence, also, his attempts at striking a deal with Russia. Neither the former nor the latter seem to be working very well for him at the moment.

Oh, well - I said it before: Europe survived Hitler and Stalin, so she will also survive Putin and Xi. But will America survive Trump? That is the question!

China

This is the greatest modernization of any army, and society in general, in human history, imagine where only these people will be in say 2040 or 2050.

Ascension 2021

Totally crazy stuff, worth a look.

... all achieved by a communist state. Go figure.

Thanks for the recommendation, Crno - will definitely watch it.

Future "partner" Xi is just organizing a purge at home......

Purge leaves only Xi Jinping and 'incorruptible' loyalist at China's Central Military Commission

...A wave of 17 arrests coordinated by China's Ministry of Public Security heralds a profound restructuring of the Central Military Commission as Xi Jinping further consolidates his grip on the People's Liberation Army...

.....well....I guess as long Carney always smiles and agrees he will have nothing to fear!

Well, he's a communist, isn't he?

China was communist when the West decided not to pursue legal action against intellectual property theft on all levels, right?
China was communist when the West decided to move most of the industrial production there, right?
China was communist when the West decided to transfer pretty much every modern technology for them to copy, right?

So where does the big surprise that commies do commie things come from???

Yeah....and better nobody forgets the end goal of communists.....Trump will be gone in a few years, the communists are just starting...again!

Saying communists are better partners for anything is more than just dumb....

We are rotten motherf*ckers, that's who we are. Communism is equally criminal as nazism, and you can be sure that we would do business with nazi China in exactly the same way that we do with communist China. Hmm... maybe the West does indeed deserve to be f*cked in the anus rather undelicately? I mean, if the world is to make sense, there has to be a price to pay for whoredom and mental retardation, right? So now we're paying.

we deserve everything we will get!

We do indeed.

MEGA 😀

We won't make Europe great again as long as there are particular national interests that we always put over the well-being of Europe as a whole. Slovakia and Hungary want to cuddle with Russia, Poland and Italy are more pro-American, Germany forced the Mercosur deal that will destroy farming all over Europe but will help the German industry etc. etc. This will never work - particular countries will always work for the greater good of themselves, not for the Union - and it is equally true for small, "new Europe" countries, as well as big "old Europe" ones.

We are retards and we deserve everything that we will get, as you very rightly concluded.

.....maybe these times will bring forward a european unifier? I mean we are the continent of the great empires....were, I mean....maybe after we go over our shock and complacency....who knows....
OP Torq  36 | 2457

The way it is now, BB, if we really want "Great Europe", if we really want power and empire, then we have to go either communist or nazi ourselves - execute the dissenters and create a new Soviet Union/Fourth Reich, because there is no other way to unify Europe and defeat all the smaller and bigger nationalisms.

The question is: are we willing to do that? Is power that important to us? Are we willing to trade our souls for the empire?

Anyways, the movement away from empires (French, Russian, British, German, Austro-Hungarian etc.) and towards small, particular nationalisms doesn't seem to have been such a great idea now, does it? Oh, well...

....so....you are saying a new Roman Empire but democratic and with liberal human rights will be impossible! :)

Lets try it first....it mustn be a german emperor of course, the Poles will never "bow the knee" to that one....;)

Empire but democratic and with liberal human rights

Such empires are possible but not composed of 30 smaller empires all pulling the tablecloth towards themselves. ;)

Lets try it first

How?

the Poles will never "bow the knee" to that one

Well, we did bow our knee to the German pope (my favourite pope of all time), so why not to a German emperor? :)

How?

....we are set in our ways and rules....only big outside shocks can make us change them, for example that EU where truly EVERYBODY has the same voting right, no matter how small and unimportant or as big and important.

....but not composed of 30 smaller empires ...

That one!

Such things only changes when absolute need be....but it would be the most important step to a political and economical big thing....but we are not there yet....we are still living the good life as it is! (Only feeling the threats from everywhere, not really living them).

so why not to a German emperor? :)

Nah....I can't see that....not in my lifetime!!! :)

It would also make the work of such "unifier" easier when he doesn't stem from one of the "big" countries....

we are still living the good life!

Exactly!

There has to be some sort of a shock... an event of disastrous proportions to finally start the change. Unfortunately, we know from history which events usually trigger such changes. :-/

.....we will see....maybe its really a waiting game....a new kind of politicians need to come to the fore front....right now we are still ruled by an "old" kind, used to the old world...

And there will be people who can adapt better to this new age, play the new rules alot better....we just have to wait!

Golden Cow's idea is a world where the rest of the world doesn't need American protection but will still listen to America and sign up for all its soft power in economics and business. That's not realistic

a world where the rest of the world doesn't need American protection

Actually, more like the rest of the world doesn't get American protection but still follows orders and buys as much American stuff as possible.

Stupid and not realistic but at least he scuttled the stupid Brit project to give away the Chagos Islands..... so occasionally he gets something positive done.

yet....we are still living the good life as it is! (Only feeling

Yes, this is just high-level complaining.
