Not everyone that lives or comes from America is RICH!

Just stop buying $hit that you obviously can't afford and you're going to be fine. btw Get a job with a better insurance plan.

buying stuff I cannot afford? where have I ever discussed my 'stuff'?

I have zero debt honey, and I don't wait for handouts. I've been sick a few times in my lifetime (the above experience being 1 time) and I have always paid the doctor with cash without complaining. I even paid the $hitty dentists.

My money was good but their work stank. Not really a fair trade considering how much dentists charge these days. The crown they made didn't even fit not to mention they ordered the wrong type of crown altogether and then expected ,e to pay for that too. i didn't though. I told them they were welcome to sue me for their error and see if they succeeded.

Truthfully, I've found that if I simply stay away from doctors and dentists, and also keep my car away from too many mechanics, life is pretty good here. But only because I opted out of your welfare system many years ago and cut up the credit cards at the same time.

So.. if it seems that issues like this irritate me, it's only because I know for sure that life without government assistance is a much better life yet I am forced to pay to subsidize corporations and foreign interests who do not have my best interests at heart.

You are a doctor too now I see. I envision you in chemotherapy 10 years from now.. your hair falling out, your bones showing through your skin.... have fun.

No big deal, Poland has universal health care. Thankfully, just like America, it doesn't fund pointless "detox" programmes made up by some quack.

Far as I am concerned even.. you can forget about America's national debt. We paid it all a long time ago.. we paid it to Israel, and Egypt.. Poland and Russia.. Japan.. America has paid the entire world for decades.

We owe no one anything. The world owes us. It's your turn to step up to the plate.

You need to build your own missile defense system too. Because if americans have to pay for that as well, and support it for who knows how many years, more jerks like you will turn up espousing the superiority of Poland's free medical system while you leave your american benefactors dying in the ditch.

Like I said, I have issues with my tax dollars going to foreign interests who do not have my best interests at heart. People just like you have helped me and many more Americans establish that view.

Take a guy with you when you're going to the car shop, or just get a second opinion, the same with dentists, they tend to be like car mechanics.

I mean no offence, but there is a b1tch and moan thread somewhere on PF, i use it a lot. It makes me feel better and i always stay on subject.

i really don't want to support Mr. cheetos, or heehaw, or whatever, but uhmm.......regarding the above comment.......and getting back to an earlier discussion in this thread about what it means to be an american and how it differs from other countries........uhhmmmm..........AAAHHHH, i can't do it.

dying in the ditch.

I heard of people passing out drunk in a ditch but never to die in one. Wait, i heard my grandma use that expression once.

Let me know which ditch you're going to pick to die. I'll make sure to put you out of your misery quick.

Uh, the US gave to the wrong people and borrowed from the wrong people. Vote people into power that don't hand out money if that's a worry to you.

You need to build your own missile defense system too.

Just a little reminder, the missile defense system did/does nothing to protect Europe.

Like I said, I have issues with my tax dollars going to foreign interests who do not have my best interests at heart. People just like you have helped me and many more Americans establish that view.

Mandatory spending (SS, Medicare, interest) eats up ALL tax revenue generated in the US.

The US doesn't have 11 carrier strike groups for the benefit of the rest of the world, and they're definitely not there for the benefit of Europe. It's expensive power projection for which you and I are now paying the price, and will continue to pay the price for a long time to come.

Your misery comes long before mine.

Since I am a payer of economic aid packages to Poland and Israel and everyone else, and not a recipient, my relief comes once your hands are out of my pocket and you go back to figuring your own way out of your own ditch without help from rich americans like me.

I think this is called "the viewpoint of someone who lives in a cocoon".

You owe the world a hell of a lot of money, and worse still, you owe plenty of it to countries that aren't afraid to use economic warfare against you. Sure, you can devalue the dollar, but where will that take you? It's not like the UK, that can mess with the Pound constantly and somehow get away with it.

You need to build your own missile defense system too. Because if americans have to pay for that as well, and support it for who knows how many years, more jerks like you will turn up espousing the superiority of Poland's free medical system while you leave your american benefactors dying in the ditch.

I really couldn't care less about any missile defence system. I never saw the point to begin with - why bother attracting attention, just to protect America?

Anyway, Americans are dying in the ditch because you don't want to pay for them. It's that simple.

Gotta love the "rich Americans like me" comment - from what I've seen personally, rich Americans don't tend to mention it.

Anyway, *what* economic aid package to Poland? I seem to recall that part of the reason for the mess of the 80's was because America didn't actually want to bail Poland out.

Can America even afford to "bail out" anyone right now anyway?

If I didn't know better I would think that all Americans are as dumb as you are.The missile shield purpose was to defend yours AMERICA.Period.

It's worth looking at just what money came into Poland in 1989 - and who the foreign experts were. They certainly weren't Russian, German or British.

indeed, like dumping a billion dollars into the Polish economy. But that's nothing.. Israel is REALLY expensive.

Mandatory spending (SS, Medicare, interest) eats up ALL tax revenue generated in the US.

actually, I think most of it these days just goes to the debt. they are talking about raiding SS to cover the debt at this very monent. Doubtful you'll see any of it after that coffer is robbed.

I always also keep in mind that there are numerous Russians in Poland today who masquerade as Poles. so a lot of conversations here do not truly reflect Polish ideas or ideals, but rather the opinions often reflect those who robbed the rich Poles half a century ago.

What is it?Give me the numbers or shut up.Last time I checked it was $27 milions of US "aid" for Poland and in the meantime Poland spends $500 milions a year helping US in A-stan.

Hahahahaha. Why is it that Americans keep bringing this up, but no-one here ever mentions these Russians? The people who betrayed and ruled Poland were Polish.

Stupid call, I don't recall any recent charity by the US in Poland....

Read up on the budget, it's not a secret. There is nothing to raid from the social security trust fund. This is the first year that SS paid out more than it took in. There is no stockpile of money, and never was. The way the SS administration describes it, it's a bit "toilet paper roll through which money flows".

I always also keep in mind that there are numerous Russians in Poland today who masquerade as Poles. so a lot of conversations here do not truly reflect Polish ideas or ideals, but rather the opinions often reflect those who robbed the rich Poles half a century ago.

You also don't seem to know your history very well. Poland was an agricultural backwater 65 years ago. The transformation is well on its way...

gimme gimme gimme. do you ever quit? What is it? lazy fingers? can't spell? different internet than I am using? Oh right, i am an american so you automatically say 'gimme'.

Official relations between Washington and Warsaw began to improve after the Jaruzelski government's 1986 general amnesty released all political prisoners. By early 1987, the administration of Ronald W. Reagan lifted all economic sanctions and restored Poland's most-favored-nation trading status. Vice President George H.W. Bush visited Warsaw the following October and promised United States support for debt rescheduling in return for the Polish government's pledge to respect human rights. In 1988, however, the United States decided to withhold economic aid until Poland reestablished political pluralism.

I'm pretty sure that I pay more in taxes than you, so if you're poor like Kenny from South Park, you hardly pay any taxes at all.

Oh dear, I love when someone posts something that actually proves them wrong.

Toward this goal, President Bush initially promised some US$100 million in economic assistance, and a three-year package totaling US$1 billion was proposed later in the year.

Proposal is one thing. I want to see a source which actually states that $1 billion was actually transferred to Poland. Bear in mind that in return for any support, Poland had the help of some American "experts" to advise with the transition to a market economy.

We can even see to this day that Poland is buying American - F-16's instead of Eurofighters, anyone?

The privately managed Polish-American Enterprise Fund (PAEF) was created in May 1990 to provide credit for Polish entrepreneurs to start businesses.

Loans, loans, loans. I don't see any grants there.

So, where's this billion dollars?

It's probably debatable. But paying lots of taxes is nothing to be proud of. It usually just means you're stupid.

sorry to be so blunt.. but your attitude requires it.

you know what though.. i am closing my business because of a strong possibility of hostile changes to the tax law in regard to small businesses.

I am going to take the next whole year off. Do things I have been planning on doing but haven't had time for.

while you are at work to pay off your credits cards, remember me, I'll be lazing by the river in my kayak.

I am real sure you are closer to kenny than me. much closer.

So two NGOs provided guaranteed loans to Polish businesses?

Do you read what you post? You're talking about loans vs grants.

We can even see to this day that Poland is buying American - F-16's instead of Eurofighters, anyone?

Because the US provided enough offsets to make them basically free?

Yeah i know, I'm stupid, let me spell it out for you. You hardly pay any taxes because you're poor, so stop b1tching. I have more right to b1tch than you and i don't. You're lazy, please get to work.

Why? To pay for back scatter scanners at the airports, abortions for countless black teenagers, wars in Afghanistan, six figure pensions for public employees?

btw Hey are you hot?

you know what? all a chick has to do these days is fly somewhere with a guy. If there's an issue with his junk they'll see it on the x-ray machine and insist on doing a pat grope down. If they have to really work to find anything down there, it'll be obvious.

Bet you have that problem a lot.

What, by sitting at home and complaining on the internet?

Great Americans do, rather than complain. Anyway, if you were so great, why did you visit a cheap dentist? All the great Americans I know can afford private dental care...
