whether obama got to NJ today or not is meaningless to nj. he can't rebuild anyone's house or even get you fema money if he comes here. it's ridiculous that we had a mayor of a city tell people they can stay in the city shelter that got flooded, instead of doing what the "fatyy" governor ordered them to do: evacuate. After all, Obama was supposed to lower the sea level or was that just an empty campaign promise? it's all showmanship from an empty suit.

when the weather predictions were just as bad the end of last week, prez went off to florida. then only did someone on his staff tell him if he wants to look good before election, he better get back to OA in time for when hurricane doodoo hits the fan up here. aside from that, if you are better off now than you were 4 years ago, i don't blame you for voting for the incumbent. but if you have had enough of sophomoric nonsense and want someone in there who is an achiever (not the type that has been going on over the last 4 years of thuggery) then it's time to send the mobsters back to chicago. oh, and then fumigate once they leave. : )

I had planned to vote for him

Nah, you did not. New Jersey is going for Democrats anyway so no harm. Obama show up so he can look presidential and caring. Changes nothing cos Romney is going to win big anyway.

no, I'm opposing his policy because I don't want this to happen.

If you read the article, they mentioned that by reducing the deficit during deflation you'll get a 1930's Depression. To repeat, you're attempting to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

Meathead,I don't know where you live, but food prices have steadily climbed here in Boston.I haven't seen any prices going down on anything.I have seen prices go up though.

Think Drought.

deflation

I know, you're not talking about us. Almost everything went up here (other than gas and that is an old pre election trick) and you're talking about deflation?

It will be nice when MR wins . . . he won't even have to recruit large busloads of ghetto people from the inner cities (or the swamps of NJ where unscrupulous people also live) to go campaigning for him so they get a $40 cash debit card : )

it won't be just nice, it's a necessity for us to stop that printing money and increasing debt nonsense.

increasing debt nonsense

and also the bernanke stench is leaving the post next year. funny, once when i was working for a tech group on budget administration, one of the project managers called me "the ben bernanke of the technology budget". really, i didn't know if I should thank him or pour my coffee on his shirt : )

t won't be just nice, it's a necessity for us to stop that printing money and increasing debt nonsense.

The debt is not the problem, the problem is our balance of trade. We import too much crap (40 billion/month). When you import you lose jobs that pay taxes. Get it? To cut the deficit you need revenue. Bernanke is keeping money circulating so that we don't have a 1930's style deflation which led to DEPRESSION. You cut the deficit, you cut jobs. Switzerland has pegged the Swiss franc to the Euro, to prevent the Swiss from going over the border and shopping in Europe for the same reason. When your currency becomes overvalued you lose jobs. Google, "the deficit is good".

Meathead,think inflation lol.

To have inflation you have to have demand for goods (too much money chasing too few goods). There is too much unemployment to have inflation. Aren't you unemployed?

in trillions of dollars? LOL don't answer please, it's a freaking nonsense what you're saying anyway.

Get it?

listen man, this is the second time, you ask me if I get it. What makes you freaking believe that you're an expert? You can support Obama as much as you want and it still won't change a thing about it how I (and millions of other people) feel about his wasteful policies.

We both know how we feel about him and to be honest, there's no reason to continue this discussion. Obviously, none of us will give in so we can just as well agree to disagree and call it quits.

40 billion/month in imports = Half a trillion/year...after year...after year. And you want a strong currency? Beyond gravity. And quit this nonsense about Obama. It's not about Obama, it's about economic policy. I could care less who you vote for. The problem is half a trillion in imports every year, not the deficit. The deficit is just a straw man. It doesn't mean diddly. Dick Cheney, GW's Vice President "Deficits don't matter", have you forgotten?
