Yep the ones in Mexico live off the money their daddy in the States sends them, how could they not like America. I mean the American Dollar. Guesswho i meant real culture, music, arts, literature, history not how they behave, in Germany it's common to belch or fart in public also.

As far as PF goes you’re confusing criticism with anti-Americanism.
As for your statistics a simple manipulation of the way the question was phrased to arrive at what you want to hear about yourself. Was it "very favorable" or "somewhat favorable" or simply combination of the two? Besides I remember reading 2010 statistics stating that 94% of Kenyans had a Favorable opinion of US compared to only 85% of US citizens themselves. Go figure - is it their naive and idealistic view of the US they hold that skews their perception versus those that see and experience the reality first hand?

If i were to make a statement about Americans from the time i came here till i went to college i would have hated them with a vengeance, i grew up in a working class neighborhood prejudice, us fighting cause someone said something about Polish people happened all the time. But when i moved out of there went to college i saw there are two kinds of Americans, and that those we're simply white trash.

Believe me, I realize the difference between those two. So tell me, when someone says that Americans are uneducated, stupid, fat and ugly, are you calling it criticism or bashing?

I don't have any problems with criticism at all, I just don't like bashing.

good thread, it's what motivated me to make my last thread, "Rate Poland 1-10". it's funny to see how people defend poland tooth and nail, yet when it's time to rate it, lots of 5's and 6's come out of the same people when rating 'Quality of Life', 'People' and 'Culture'.

How do you as an American find todays Poland? Now that you have lived there for a couple of years, are you disappointed in the modern day Poland, as opposed to the Poland that was described by your parents? I know that I am. I lost any desire to visit Poland.

I concluded long time ago that the war on terror is war of terror on all people as the special interest making money out on it and then governments can use excuse of fighting war on terror to take away your freedoms and rights from citizens.

And the scariest thing is that some people are buying this crap and not looking at facts and not thinking for themselves.

Yup, and that's the biggest problem, Marek. Govt is way too cozy with big business. I wouldn't trust anyone too close to the banks, Wall street or energy corporations. Did you know it was one of our own senators who made it more profitable to buy oil from the middle east than to buy it from our own domestic producers. He totally threw them under a bus!

Democrats have done this to us by refusing to let us drill our vast domestic oil reserves. They're living in their "green" dream Lala Land...

Dude, the guy who did this had one of the biggest energy corporations around at the time. He was a private business man elected to the senate. He was trying to put the small time producers out of business in this country so he could increase profits for the corporations.

HAH! Just as I thought. Unlike you I can speak polish. I was raised in a Polish speaking household.. i went to a Polish parochial school taught by Nuns.

My Father fought in WW1 in the American army where he earned his citizenship. My Mom also became a citizen. She and my Dad both loved America. One day as a kid, I asked my Dad if he would like to go back to Poland.. His answer was. Yes, but only to visit. With great pride, he said. I am an American. I will n ever leave.. Mom refused to speak Polish at all, only to my Dad who had trouble learning english..

Are you surprised that the numbers are still pretty positive for the Americans? I can imagine, you must be really surprised about that as I know your opinion about your host country and its people.

No I do not hate Americans hell I am married to one all I hate is the American gov and the evil it does around the world.

I rather help people but the gov rather kill and not only outside of this country they are killing 9/11 first responders as they lied to them about air quality and now the evil bastards in gov. do not want to help them with medical bills but they help with tax cuts to 1% where is the priority where is the patriotism where is the Christianity in gov. officials.

I don't hate it as long as it's good to its own people. At this point I have to admit that we definitely need a huge change, however our opinions (yours and mine) will be definitely totally different as far as the type of changes we both are expecting. What I want is a strong president, a patriot who will help his own people before he'll send any money abroad. It's not like I don't feel bad about people dying of hunger allover the world but at the moment this country needs to help itself. We can't be always held responsible for the welfare of the whole world.
