Students exchange. Is it difficult to find school in UK where I can take practice?

I'm a student of early pedagogy and I'd like to be on the exchange students. But my college doesn't offer UK and they told me I need to do everything by myself. So I'd like to know if in the UK is hard to find school where I can take practice? And maybe you know how much does it cost to rent a room in a dorm? I'm particularly interested in London but the others will be fine too :)
