they are our saviours,

Most of them are us and and many of us are them. At least they have a religion and values.

we feel deep into Fabian Socialism

I would very much hope that any decent person 'feels deep into' achieving a structured improvement in human opportunity and a reduction of economic and social inequality by democratic means.

Why raise Islam and why mention an obscure talking shop that is an obscure part of one of the two main parties and one which has very few active members?

After all, religious demographics have little to do with either the economic differences or similarities between Poland and the UK and the Fabian Society has even less to do with it.

Although I don't see many Poles racing to emigrate to countries like North Korea or Paraguay whose values are the diametric opposite of the aims of the Fabian Society and the Party of which it is a constituent body.

And even harder to know why you're trying to get snarky about 'Fabian Socialism' when the Conservative Party (who strongly oppose the aims of the Fabian Society) have been in office for most of the past hundred years.

Both the U.K. and Poland have untypical economies for Europe and unpredictable ones. And as mentioned before, both have democracies and both are likely to have their currently ruling parties change at their next general election.

Poland will become more important and will surpass Italy and Spain.

You could be on the money with that one but I doubt very much that Poland will outpace the UK.

both are almost certain to happen at the next election in both places.

Let's hope so as change for both countries is long overdue.

stay On-Topic when posting in my threads.

You've already had a post removed which was nothing more than a rant about Paulina, who you thought was me. Try taking your own advice for once.

Please keep to the topic of the thread.

Who knows what will happen if new governments are elected.

The current government is the key to the wealth of Poland in the next decade.
Poland could become a real threat to NATO if a new government got elected and destroy everything for Poland's future.

Poland could become a real threat to NATO

Poland is a key member of NATO, and the current military expansion, though expensive, is likely to have positive economic benefits.

@joun

I agree as I have already posted that.

Poland has used the Ukraine crisis to strengthen ties with the USA that can guarantee Polish sovereignty.

So what?

At the next election there will be a regime change in both the countries here and any economic change over the next decade or so will be largely unrelated to the policies of the current parties in office.

So what?

So you are agreeing with my post by repeating it.

the current military expansion, though expensive, is likely to have positive economic benefits.

That's what I said, only you used different words
PiS has done a wonderful job in accomplishing this by making Poland Great Again.
By the end of the decade Poland will be wealthier than Britain.

any economic change over the next decade or so will be largely unrelated to the policies of the current parties in office.

It seems the current parties economic policies have excelled by working with NATO (the U.S.A.) which got Poland to the point that Poland will be the wealthier of the two countries at this rate by the end of the decade.

PiS is behind this driving force for Poland to make this continue to happen.

PiS hasn't actually done that much since the upturn started long before they took office and is likely to continue afterwards. All they had to do was sit back and do nothing, which is what they have largely done.

As mentioned, it's impossible to reliably predict economic outcomes. The 2030 date for Poland and to catch up with the major European economies (France, Italy and Germany too, not just the U.K.) has been knocking around for a while and largely depends on economic conditions that have not materialised.

Well Covid did slow things down for awhile for them.

largely depends on economic conditions that have not materialised.

Well we are in a world recession so that is to be expected.
Rome wasn't built in a day but Poland will be built better than any country in the E.U. in this decade by far.

that Poland will be wealthier than Britain by 2030

Not so fast. That will take decades to catch up with such old colonial powers as GB or France. PiS likes to brag about their imaginary successes now and in the future, don`t fall for that so easily coz sb might call you a name implying a mentally deficient person. :):):)

As I tried to explain to him in my post #8 but clearly he thinks he knows better than everybody else.

Well Covid

Just in Poland, was it?

Poland will be wealthier than Britain by 2030

GNP which the OP had in mind while starting the thread isn`t the best determiner of countries` wealth. There are better ones. E.g, PPP. Looking at it, Poland needs decades to catch up.
