Poland will be wealthier than Britain by 2030

Muslims are not guests here in Britain, they have come to rescue us.

So you admit that Britain needs rescuing.
Very observant.

who you thought was me.

We know who you are as I posted immediately after your first post in this thread.

Who knows what will happen if new governments are elected.

The current government is the key to the wealth of Poland in the next decade.
Poland could become a real threat to NATO if a new government got elected and destroy everything for Poland's future.

Poland could become a real threat to NATO

Poland is a key member of NATO, and the current military expansion, though expensive, is likely to have positive economic benefits.

I agree as I have already posted that.

Poland has used the Ukraine crisis to strengthen ties with the USA that can guarantee Polish sovereignty.

So what?

At the next election there will be a regime change in both the countries here and any economic change over the next decade or so will be largely unrelated to the policies of the current parties in office.

So what?

So you are agreeing with my post by repeating it.

the current military expansion, though expensive, is likely to have positive economic benefits.

That's what I said, only you used different words
PiS has done a wonderful job in accomplishing this by making Poland Great Again.
By the end of the decade Poland will be wealthier than Britain.

any economic change over the next decade or so will be largely unrelated to the policies of the current parties in office.

It seems the current parties economic policies have excelled by working with NATO (the U.S.A.) which got Poland to the point that Poland will be the wealthier of the two countries at this rate by the end of the decade.

PiS is behind this driving force for Poland to make this continue to happen.

PiS hasn't actually done that much since the upturn started long before they took office and is likely to continue afterwards. All they had to do was sit back and do nothing, which is what they have largely done.

As mentioned, it's impossible to reliably predict economic outcomes. The 2030 date for Poland and to catch up with the major European economies (France, Italy and Germany too, not just the U.K.) has been knocking around for a while and largely depends on economic conditions that have not materialised.

Well Covid did slow things down for awhile for them.

largely depends on economic conditions that have not materialised.

Well we are in a world recession so that is to be expected.
Rome wasn't built in a day but Poland will be built better than any country in the E.U. in this decade by far.

that Poland will be wealthier than Britain by 2030

Not so fast. That will take decades to catch up with such old colonial powers as GB or France. PiS likes to brag about their imaginary successes now and in the future, don`t fall for that so easily coz sb might call you a name implying a mentally deficient person. :):):)

As I tried to explain to him in my post #8 but clearly he thinks he knows better than everybody else.

Well Covid

Just in Poland, was it?

Poland will be wealthier than Britain by 2030

GNP which the OP had in mind while starting the thread isn`t the best determiner of countries` wealth. There are better ones. E.g, PPP. Looking at it, Poland needs decades to catch up.

Comparing life in Poland to The UK.

YouTube videos like this are more of a distraction than anything else. People who have not done well and are trying to earn small amounts of money by doing videos about how they've found something new.

Usually they're about moving to Cambodia or Siberia.

Usually they're about moving to Cambodia or Siberia.

These are a little different.

In the case of places like Thailand and Cambodia, the audience is overwhelmingly western people who are interested in a better life with cheaper cost of living (and maybe a trophy bride) in those countries.

In the Russian videos' case, there's also that, but also attracting far-right/racist people who idealise Russia as some kind of white, conservative utopia. And I suspect there's an element of Kremlin propaganda there too.

In the Poland 'expat' videos, there's often the same thing of portraying Poland as a white, conservative utopia (attracting the same kind of people). But there's also monetising Poles' nationalism and inferiority complex. They love hearing a foreigner tell them how great they are, they can't get enough of it. And you can see this from the comments - full of Poles.

This YouTuber isn't the worst I've ever seen but he's certainly a bit of an arsekisser. What's particularly egregious is his opening anecdote about why London was so terrible and Warsaw is so great - in London, someone once put some stupid graffiti on his building's bin lockup. As if that wouldn't/doesn't happen in Warsaw, and as if stupid, ugly graffiti, all over residential buildings and entire neighbourhoods, isn't indeed one of the most characteristic things about life in Poland's capital. But, of course, his Polish audience doesn't want to hear that - they want their egos massaged.

Yep.

And some come to PL citing the same thing. They are invariably disappointed.

As if that wouldn't/doesn't happen in Warsaw

Warsaw is graffiti central. The only capital I've seen with worse graffiti is Athens.

they want their egos massaged

Yes. Basically cultural cringe.
