Blimpy, you got it so wrong. People in the UK cannot often afford to work for minimum wage as they have council tax, mortgages/rent, shopping bills etc to deal with. Poles and other foriegners on the other hand tend to live in larger groups of people and do not want to settle in the country and therefore can afford to work for minimum wage. A brit on benefits has council tax sorted and rent paid for.

Welshguy, good last post.

To address the penultimate one, I agree on the road part. British roads are 'streets' ahead of roads here. Only very rarely did I need to swerve when out on my bicycle. Here, it's constant vigilance.

As for the tv part, it wasn't my intention to do a comparative study ;) ;) Poland has lousy tv too, even worse in fact when it comes to soaps. However, this is what I expect as this part of culture is often boring here, no offence to resident Poles, but it is. It reaches new levels of monotony. However, British tv is full of reruns and repeats that dull the mind.

PS Point taken about the dancing. There is an obsession about physique here.

What nonsense! This is a perpetuated myth!

Question to the Brits here. How secure do you feel in your own country in terms of job and personal aspects?

So foreigners living in Poland are sick of their homeland because of the foreigners.
Am i getting this right?
What about multicultural cities all over the world, that we all love to go to because of their ancient complexity.London, New York etc
If you left England in the sixties(PF guys) and came back would you leave again because of the Pakistanis and Caribbean's?
Poland is all white, because its poor and not, because of some Polish internal strength.

I wouldn't count myself as being in that bracket, milky. I can have a good time in my home city regardless of the numbers of any foreigners. We have to accept the bad with the good in life. I do feel that there are too many foreigners but we can't and shouldn't engineer a society to precision. You open the floodgates and you accept the consequences/side effects.

Agree
but the floodgates were opened a loooooooong time back. After the flood.
From reading this thread is does sound very reactionary and a bit too far to the right.

True, true! However, it takes some time for things to manifest themselves and for the full effect of one mass movement to take hold. The initial reaction is amazement but then the different realities kick in.

Thank god someone said it finally. If Poland becomes significant in the world there is nothing the government will do to stop the fllods of ppl

Then I hope that Poland never progresses, if the price to be paid is the same as whats happening in the UK.

Most Poles do not want multiculturalism. They are prepared to allow freedom of religion, just so long as things don't begin to spiral out of control. They have no need to worry because Islam only constitutes 0.07% of religion here.

Poland is ill-equipped for mass immigration and shouldn't be burdened with it unduly. Yes, I feel they can't complain if other EU nationals enter Poland as Poles have done to the UK. Fair's fair! However, they have the right to control it as they just can't pick up the tab.

I am assuming your career as a MHN is rather a calling, sth you are passionate about? How could you have ever entered this in Poland?

I wouldn't have. I am very aware of the set-up in Poland and I wouldn't work under those conditions, plus the pay is sh1t.

It's a calling yes, but that doesn't mean it is the only job im passionate about. I'm also employed for an international company based in Krakow at the moment and I will most likely return to full time with them. As well as a few other "projects" I have in mind ;)

Beacause I was brought up speaking English and I have the UK to thank for this

Good English teachers who are Poles can make just as much as their "Native" counterparts ;)

Yes...but it was that way in the UK....some time ago...!

Oh, there are signs that Islam will be the dominant religion in Europe in 2050 but resistance, in this case, is not futile. Poland will fight its expansion and has done so in Warsaw.

I didn't get the impression this thread was about Islam in the U.K.

The recession seems to be a major issue too ...

I honestly believe that its going to end in bloodshed in the UK and other countries...

The Muslims are having bigger familes , at a faster rate than the people they live amongst , and sooner or later there will be enough of them legally living in the EU to demand changes in the laws etc...

At this point there will be protests from the non Muslims , and it will end in violence...

I fear that the Muslims are not going to be truly satisfied until they beheading people on the streets of Europe for non compliance with their rules...

Already we have a situation where you cannot fly a UK flag or wear an army uniform for fear of upsetting somebody....

The UK is going down the toilet , and i fear that one day somebody is gonna flush it...!

30 million hungry poles coming here surely did not help, did it?

well...

Democracy is a sham, nobody really knows who is in charge, maybe banks or maybe somebody else, but one fact is certain they don't give a damn about nationality or general population and that goes for most country's!

Poland;s roads are rubbish - and I blame government- ******* pricks!

You need the immigrants and the muslims multiply like rabbits due to social norms.

but sure the uk always sucked as, first it was the irish ruining it

then it was black people

sure it's common knowledge that ye lot had signs in your windows saying,
No Irish
No Blacks
No Dogs

up until the 1970s

Then you moaned about the Indians and the Pakistanis and the others that came as a result of ye "spreading civilisation" and colonising half the feckin planet.

Now, its the turn of the Muslim to take the brunt of english xenophobia.

instead of moaning about it ye should be getting your idiotic conservative(nazi) govt to begin programmes to try and promote intergration, but you wont, you haven't learned from your mistakes in the past (those bastard in the IRA), you've got the same situation all over again, if you keep making mistakes you should at least try to learn from them.

Ireland hasn't got the same problems with muslims as the uk has and why is that? coz we're so used to being on the wrong end of racism that we're far more open to other religions and cultures, something the uk has never ever been.

rant over....

I don,t care what race , colour or religion anyone who comes to the UK is , as long as they obey the laws of my country , don,t suck money out of the place without putting something in , and don,t try to change my country into one that suits them...

Mark my words. The time for western Europe to fall is almost here. If there will be civil wars, they will happen in western Europe first. Slavs will live on- lead by Poland. Poland will be one of the last major Christian nations left in continental Europe. Poland knows this. America knows this. Western Europeans are soft and weak. Poles have some p'iss n' vinegar left in them ;)

oh, come on, you are not even there, the only people who are ruining your country are the people who are stealing your apples at the moment.

Is WB still in the UK?- he might change his mind.

Recession not the immigrants are the cause of frustration.

what does that have to do with anything you said? Again, nothing personal, I am not sure what it means to be English. The same as being Muslim or Indian by any chance?
