The Daily Mail - coverage of the Polish people

Many an occassion I witnessed Poles in scubba gear swimming in the lakes around Krakow with harpoons sneaking up on the poor defenseless swans. Other times I had to step in when it was squirrel hunting season because most of the hunters were using TnT to blow the suckers out the trees...this was just wrong :/

In a more truthful note, anyone who goes within an inch of a swan is taking their lives into their own hands. Swans I often regard as being evil and will attack at any second :)

Stereotypes exist for a reason and that reason is they are generally based on truth.

So why aren't Irish people generally moronic racists? I mean, I know that you are but I rarely meet any others.

So you think that Polish emigrants generally eat swans?

Some do, yes. Some plunder the local lakes and rivers too.

Generally or some? either way your a gobshite but I just want to show the class how much of a gobshite you are.
I suppose racists like you have to hold on to these false beliefs in order to prop up your BS.

Where are you really from RN? the truth this time.

THE Thing is RN gives a bad name to all Irish Nationalists, he seems to know a lot about Derry/West Belfast affairs so, he is not some BNP sockpuppet

Ask any park keeper who pillages the lakes.

Ask any council worker who plunders the local rivers.

Its no bs, son. Its the eastern europeans.

One of the biggest mistake this country has made in recent times was allowing these people freedom of movement in our land.

China.

I agree because now we have to read your BS on PF day in and day out. On and on, like a foking broken record. Eastern Europeans cause some problems, but they have nothing to do with whatever is bothering you.

It is either about money or a woman.

The Daily Mail is a rag mag that comes up with rubbish and blames immigrants.

Swan is a delicacy.
What does beauty have to do with it? using that logic, if a cow was more beautiful it would cease to be eaten :)

Wait, wait: do you also happen to eat swans, given the chance?

Sounds to me exactly like the average Polish person talks about them. Well, what goes around comes around, I guess. What I read on this forum often resembles the way the Daily Mail writes about the Polish. I guess they shouldn't complain then.

It's just typical isn't it? Giving the most stupid comments about other people but when it concerns the Poles, then everyone cries foul. (yyyaaawwwnnnn).

I just had a thought....Why would Poles be hunting swans when there are fields full of sheep , pigs and cows in the UK....?

If Jakub Tomczak does something wrong, then half of Poland says he was probably set up. It's just sickening. Always playing out the role of the victim.

Poles are suspicious and doubt motives of others, is not a bad thing, not always anyway.
As for Tomczak, his situation did not change because of those opinions ......
playing the role of the victim - what do you mean ?

Ironside, I could give you the phone number of my Polish neighbour. We were drinking together for the first time last weekend (the night of the Pudzian fight) and he very much believes that Poles have a victim complex. I have to agree with him, many do.

that Poles have a victim complex.

Well, I don't see it.....but taking into account Poland history you maybe right

I don't often see it either as I teach English a lot during the week and the topics don't relate to Polish history much at all. Still, I see it on this forum and also from older Poles.

Swan is a delicacy.

Leave our swans alone!

I haven't yet but I see no reason not to.
But apparently they taste of fish and you have to feed the signet oats to make them taste nice.
Swans, genus Cygnus, are birds of the family Anatidae, which also includes geese and ducks.

So if a cow put on some make-up and wore a nice dress it would cease to be ugly and you wouldn't eat it?

Traditionally, the Monarch of the United Kingdom owns all unmarked mute swans on the River Thames. This dates from the 12th century, during which swans were a common food source for royalty.

An Indian guy would be pretty upset/horny about that picture.

Honestly do you live here in Poland?
Or are you judging Poles by the prepubescent troglodytes living in their parents basement in other countries that troll this site?

Honestly do you live here in Poland?

If you had read my previous entries, you would have seen that I live in Wroclaw from Friday to Monday and in the Netherlands during the rest of the week. I work in the Netherlands, take a plane to Wroclaw on Friday, log on to my "company's" network on Monday morning, work a couple of hours, fly back to the Netherlands and log on again when I am at home.

And this every single week.

Does that count?

29 May 2010 #147
Alright, alright, a simple 'yes' would have been sufficient :)

Does that count?

So what's with the Daily Mail sounds like the typical Pole, they deserve to be demanised because what comes around goes around?
Stu 12 | 515
29 May 2010 #148
a simple 'yes'

Yeah, but would you have believed me ... ;)

the Daily Mail sounds like the typical Pole

Okay ... my words came out wrong. What I meant to say was that -if you read the entries on this forum- people are pretty much against foreigners. And only a few of us protest. Now the Daily Mail has obviously written some articles about swan-eating, fish poaching, raping Poles and then suddenly this whole forum explodes about how badly they are treated. Seems like double standards to me.

Yeah, but would you have believed me ... ;)

"I can believe the impossible, but I can never believe the improbable"

One more just because he is the master of wit:

"The old believe everything; the middle aged suspect everything: the young know everything."
Oscar Wilde.

if you read the entries on this forum-

Well that's why I gave another option : prepubescent troglodytes living in their parents basement in other countries that troll this site. They're not Polish, well most of them, all of our countries have a minority of "Daily Mail" opinionated arses, even Ireland has RevokeNice to drag down our light hearted, good intentioned land :)
