British Corner Shop, anybody tried that?

Has anybody tried this site? (BritishCornerShop.co.uk) The chip shop in Warsaw also offers a range of English food but at rather high prices, same problem with Kuchnia Swiata (but even higher prices), and M&S has a pretty limited range, so I thought I'd give these guys a go. Order was placed yesterday and I'll let you know how they go. First impressions are pretty good (I realised I'd left Lea & Perins Worcestershire sauce off the list but they stuck bottle in the order with no fuss at all).

Obviously the 'bring me from the UK' service which the Warsaw chip shop offer (I've used it and it's excellent) is better if you want something that this website doesn't offer, but it's not very practical if you live a long way from Warsaw.

Anybody have any solutions for getting the little bits of England/Scotland/Ireland/where-ever which they miss?

[Note to mods: I am not connected with this company at all, I just thought that it might make everyday life easier for people living everyday life in Poland. Please do not move this to the 'Business Offers' or 'Other Classified' forums. Thnk

Heinz beans

Can you not buy Heinz beans up in your neck of the woods? The things are in all Carrefour shops in Warsaw, even my local cornershop has them. And I didn't notice that that website has the catering size cans which you must need.

If you're running short, 25% off four-packs[ right now and 20% off delivery too.

I'm 100% sure that Heinz Baked Beans will be sold somewhere in Moscow. I am told that in Moscow absolutely anything is available, provided that one has the money to pay for it. Supposedly there are more expats earning at least $250,000 a year in Moscow than in any other city on the planet.

I can believe it - I know someone who was offered $200,000 a couple of years ago to go and work there. Crazy, crazy money - he turned it down because they have a very British mentality towards work - the amount of hours matters, not the quality of work.

Why has a thread which is going to be of no interest at all to Polish people who live in the UK or Ireland been moved to the "Polonia - UK, Ireland" forum? Nobody in the UK or Ireland would use Britishcornershop.co.uk: they can simply go to their local cornershop and buy all the products there! The people who might like the topic of this thread are people living everyday life in Poland. And that is why I put this in the "Everyday life" forum. Can somebody please move it back to that forum? Thanks.

From the UK.

Only one person? That makes it the most honest post office in Poland!

You could also try buyinbritain.com They have a wide range of British food and they ship to Poland along with many other European countries. Good service too!

Hi guys

I recently tried britishexpatstore.com

I found with some of these other sites that products sometimes were out of stock but you don't find out till you actually make an order!!! Which can be annoying...

The guys at britishexpatstore.com not only have pretty much the entire supermarket listed on their store, their prices and stock levels are updated every few days.

Also found them to be the cheapest.........

Do widzenia :-)

well, we orderd from britishcornershop.co.uk and are more then disappointed.
a) the delivery was delayed,
b) our order was not complete,
c) 5 packets of items had expired on the day they arrived and last not least
d) when we tried to get some answers because of all this, we were ignored.

This internet shop is definitly not to be recommend.

All the same items or different?
