Hello! Street view suggests Warsaw has more tree-lined streets than many other European towns like Prague, Bratislava. Is it true? Has anyone been in all tree?
I find most streets in Prague rely too much on old buildings but once the initial traveler's euphoria wears off, it can look too much like a concrete (brick) jungle.
I know Warsaw's historic center is like other medieval centers with little place for street trees (I know it was rebuilt btw). But Prague also lacks city streets in most districts around the city center while I saw many tree-lined avenues in Warsaw.
Maybe being a more modern built city is not that bad, I personally prefer wider boulevards and trees to packed old streets with no green spaces for living. Old buildings get old the longer you stay but some trees make you feel more pleasant in the summer providing shade and tree-lined streets have reduced traffic noise. Prague is like an oven in the summer with no shade along streets.
I've always liked Poland the most of all Slavic countries and applied to a job in a Polish site only to discover it was bait and switch and they were recruiting for the Prague office.

Look at Sofia and plant even more street trees to become Europe's greenest capital. Warsaw looks already greener than Prague or Bratislava or London's streets even now (Czechs and Slovaks seem to like living surrounded by concrete), but there are so many big sidewalks along noisy streets that can be improved with a row of trees.
You can boost the associstion with Rexio (the cartoon dog), Russians still cash in on Nu pogodi nostalgia. I watched it as a kid. Some Polish commie cars shows with Syrena, Warszawa and Polski Fist cars and Nysa vans? And yes, Polish women are much more attractive than Czech ones and generally dress better. :)
Even in the historic centers you can put a few trees here and there and pots with flowers. The huge empy places (namesti's in Czech, sorry for not knowing the Polish word) can have a few trees planted, with increasing summer temps they are needed. Make the smaller old town of Warsaw greener and more pleasant than that of Prague :) Even in the tiniest trees there is space st least for some shrubs in pots. And yes, fix roads!
