I've got a friend who will be in Warsaw for a day. Any traditional Polish cuisine restaurant recommendations would be much appreciated.
Warsaw Restaurant - Traditional Polish Food
In centre of town maybe Stara Kamienica on ul. widok
2km out of town Stary Dom on Pulawska
Both are nice - white tablecloths, polish classics, decent service
Plenty of modern Polish choices in central Warsaw - U Wienawy and Pod Gigantami are fashionable at the moment
Or try one of The Gessler family restaurants - there are maybe 6 different banners and always fun
In the old town there are some touristy places and they are generally ok if weather is good but I don't visit up there enough to make a recommendation

Of course, the milk bar is to be recommended. Are there any in Warsaw?

this is a very well-known one in Warsaw....
Atmosphere is not great, but if you arrive in the afternoon the line usually goes out the door. Occasionally you can see famous people there as well.
