so I bought a cute lil maluch last night haha... I want to do a driving tour of Poland... any tips or advice on where to visit / go? (besides the standard jokes about pushing maluch around etc :)

i'm for sure going to do a 'test-drive' to zakopane to see if the car is road worthy, and after that - PL is my oyster !

looking for nice roads, beautiful scenery, and interesting cities (and small villages that are off the beaten track - that would be nice to visit).

dzieki!

Aren't they illegal under EU laws now?

Why would they be?

As long as they pass the technical check (which in Poland is often a matter of just paying the right person) - no issue.

They are above the law;)

I hope you are speaking figuratively, because if your average lawbook is this high, then its physically impossible for a Maluch to be above it.

Have a look at the Zlombol website, the youngtimer.pl page, klasyczny.com and the FSOAUTOKLUB. They're all on facebook, and they all regularly organise drives with like-minded car owners.

I did tychy - budapest and back with a friend in a maluch in 2002. The road is the limit (and leaded fuel).

how many stops did you make? the maluch isn't the most comfortable car especially for the driver - did you have to use the 2nd gear to go uphill at times???

4-5 petrol and stretch stops plus 2 border stops. It was 2002, we were just happy not to be on a train:)

I took one to states 1999 last model they made but had to be crushed and not allowed, then in 2002 I took 1976 model as an antique and got QQ(antique) plates and still drive around the jersey shore in summer it starts with a choke, no inspections needed, free registration every 2 years and insurance is 150$ a year but cannot drive more then 1800 miles a year..its a great toy,the funny part is my pool motor has more horse power then this maluch,I wish there was a maluch club:)
