To drain the rainwater out?
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
6 Apr 2021 #752
That would be reasonable if it rained but it didn`t so sorry, no.

Hint - the bin was completely empty so it was tipped over.

Maybe one of the wheels got broken or sth and someone tipped the bin over to fix it?

Btw, I've noticed that the photo was photoshopped on the left - does it have anything to do with the riddle?

to prevent people from using it?
Miloslaw 19 | 4,925
6 Apr 2021 #755
To show that it had been emptied?
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
6 Apr 2021 #756
As for broken wheels - no, it wasn`t it.
Photoshopping - no, it doesn`t matter. On the left there was some obscene grafitti on the building wall and I covered it so that you could focus solely on the bin.

Prevent from using - nope.
To show its emptiness - sorry, no.

Another hint - the bin is close to the rubbish bin lock-up - all apartment blocks in Poland have one near the entrance door.

YOU did it to have a riddle! You thought you could get away with it and you might have if you hadn't make one simple mistake....

The building was vacated and no one was living there.
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
6 Apr 2021 #759
YOU did it to have a riddle!

haha no, I am too busy to play with rubbish bins or anything that I take a photo of. I just snap what I see passing by.

No, johhny, it wasn`t vacated - it is still occupied.

OK, probably you need a little more time.

So, meanwhile, let`s have sth else:

This is a primary school English course textbook - what is wrong with this exercise?:

They moved the dumpster over in front of the other wall so the Deeksters couldn't tag it so easily.
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
7 Apr 2021 #762
Sorry, no.

In the meantime, a new one so that we will have a nice trio of difficult and medium-difficult riddles.

Why are the informative boards backwards in these classrooms?

Paulina 16 | 4,370
7 Apr 2021 #763
Because there's going to be a test?
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
7 Apr 2021 #764
Yes! More exactly, mock matura exam in maths, most probably. So there are two left.
But in the meantime, let`s fill the void in the trio with this one:

What is carried in this case?

Are those objects in black covers phones? I have no ideas left about the bin and I don't think I can see anything wrong with the exercise...

Oh, wait, is it about the number of toes in the drawing in that exercise? Cats have five toes on each paw in front, not four (and four on each paw in the back). Also, their claws are usually hidden, unless they're hunting, climbing or defending themselves.

objects in black covers phones?

The one on the right looks more like a camera case (maybe the one on the left too) so I'm going to guess some kind of weird BDSM stuff....
Paulina 16 | 4,370
8 Apr 2021 #767
Yeah, I was thinking about at least one of them being a camera too...

I'm going to guess some kind of weird BDSM stuff

maf ;D
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
8 Apr 2021 #768
Sorry, it is sth else, not tiger`s claws. Hint - it is indeed connected with the animal`s biological characteristics.

As for the big case, those black objects are not phone or camera cases but soft pads to protect the object carried inside - to keep it tightly packed, sort of.

No, it isn`t BDSM stuff.
Hint - it is much more cultural stuff than BDSM, worth a lot of money. - with prices reaching 150.000 PLN.

what is wrong with this exercise?:

Tigers don't normally live in savannah areas, they're usually jungle/forest cats.
Paulina 16 | 4,370
8 Apr 2021 #770
@maf, yeah, that's most probably it... Also, tigers are carnivorous, but they do eat fruit sometimes to ease digestion (I'm guessing it's not about that though).
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
8 Apr 2021 #771
Yes, point to maf, not savannah, they mixed it up with Lion King.
Paulina 16 | 4,370
8 Apr 2021 #772
Congrats, maf! :D

No idea about what's in the case then...
OP pawian 223 | 24,389

So, still two riddles are pending: about the tipped bin and elegant case.

In the meantime:

What is going on?

OP pawian 223 | 24,389
28 Apr 2021 #774
Meanwhile:
What is the main ingredient of this dish?

Paulina 16 | 4,370
1 May 2021 #775
I still don't have any ideas about the tipped bin and the elegant case, I'm afraid...

What is going on?

In the pot on the right it looks like beetroots are being cooked (for the red borscht?) and on the left - I don't know... I think I can see onions, maybe sliced potatoes, I don't know about those round, brown things - are those wild mushrooms? Is it some kind of stew?

What is the main ingredient of this dish?

I don't know what kind of dish it is, so the only thing that comes to my mind are potatoes...

And a riddle from me - what is this thing with my "favourite" creepy-crawly bug on it ;P ;):

I still don't have any ideas about the tipped bin and the elegant case,

Ok, I will reveal a part of the secret. The bin was tipped by garbage collectors themselves. Why?

Elegant case - a hint - it keeps a musical instrument.

beetroots wild mushrooms?

Yes. What for?

As for the spider badge, it belongs to Psychological Warfare Group in the Polish Army. Does anyone of your family work for them???

they tipped it over so they would know it was emptied? (or another truck following behind them would)?
OP pawian 223 | 24,389
1 May 2021 #778
No, maf, there was another reason, more practical and I can say it was very thoughtful of them.
PS. Garbage collectors come at an appointed hour after the house caretaker calls them that bins are full. There is always only one truck. The yellow recycling bin is for paper.

They wanted something to drip out/fall out of it?.
johnny reb 49 | 7,094

They didn't want it to be used for household garbage.
