ps: Lyzko sent me a message in some Netherlands, which was really surprising.

Oh Lyzko you dog you.
You must come clean with this little girl and tell her that you are a married man with two children older than she is while you live in New Jersey and are a google translate master. lol

Do have a wonderful time renier as I have been following your planning as I myself plan a trip to Poland very soon.
This thread has offered me some enlightenment on my planning.

Where do you recommend I add it?

If it were me it would be Kraków as there are lots of things to do and see there. I have been a few times now and I always seem to find something new to see every time. The salt mines are definitely worth a visit, and Nowa Huta is interesting if you are into history:

It's about a half hour tram ride from Kraków centre.

Possibly I might consider an extra day in Gdańsk if I were going to see Malbork castle ( about an hour away by train and well worth a visit ), as that will leave you with only 2 days and I presume you would want to go to Sopot and Gydnia while you are there.

If you want to know what else to see and do in each city, search the forum, there are tons of threads with lots of helpful information.

I'm sure you will have a great time In Poland, enjoy your holiday!

Krakow is certainly the most aesthetically picturesque of any Polish urban metropolis I've ever seen. Sadly, I only know Szczecin first hand , which is though hardly a shabby introduction to Poland for an initial visit:-)

Maybe you should book a holiday Lyzko, if I remember rightly it was a long time ago that you went to Szczecin! I'm sure you would love Kraków.

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all your input in this thread. I am sure my trip will be even better with all the info. You're a bunch of cool people.

I have made lists of places to visit per city and things to do, but I will inquire with my hosts for assistance as I go.

If by any chance you want to meet an Afrikaner, do make contact, and we can try to connect while I am there. Afrikaners are not Africans - for the record. Afrikaners have white skins with ancestral records in Europe. Our home language is Afrikaans, but we all have a good command of English.

So dit sal lekker wees om een van julle in die rêgte lewe te kan ontmoet :-)
