Harry 23 Sep 2012 #31Polish authorities will do what? There are illegal taxi drivers openly touting for business at every airport in Poland and nothing is done about them.
prnkd 26 Sep 2012 #32You are lucky. 10 days ago I've been to Warsaw, I saw no taxi, then a taxi driver offered to take me to Warsaw. I asked him the rate, he said you don't have to worry, is official rate. When I arrived to destination the guy charged me 1050 PLN around £200.
Harry 26 Sep 2012 #33When I arrived to destination the guy charged me 1050 PLN around £200.Got a receipt for that? If so, I can give you the address of the office who will take his licence away.
jon357 74 | 22,054 26 Sep 2012 #34I've seen Polish taxi drivers being quite aggressive at Modlin - including chasing a couple onto the shuttle bus and yelling at them.Avoid.
limo32 1 | 3 28 Sep 2012 #35Sorry for interrupted but thanks Harry because I have a plan to go there in Poland and this is a very useful information for me. I'm there in the mid of October and want to spend a week there.wingshinterlandretreat.com
sobieski 106 | 2,118 28 Sep 2012 #36I saw in Modlin that some of the Modlinbus coaches are reserved for WizzAir. What is the story on that one?

sobieski 106 | 2,118 7 Oct 2012 #40Could you not combine your questions in one thread? In one you are telling you cannot go Modlin by taxi. And now you are asking how much a taxi costs to Modlin?
Leonis 30 | 61 7 Oct 2012 #41No, you misunderstood :) I'm through with that problem, I've solved it. Thanks for asking.
flic 12 Oct 2012 #42Hiya, we are on the same plane and also want to get to Centre of Warsaw !!!So Jumpy, how are you getting to the centre in the end?Do you want to share a taxi Jumpy, my daughter and I are on the same plane and want to get to the centre of Warsaw.
OP jumpy 1 | 10 13 Oct 2012 #44Sorry, I have been on-line and booked the modlin bus for 56pl for 2 seats, leaving the airport for central at 11:00. It's the first time in Warsaw and after reading stories on this forum the wife said it was better to have the transfers booked.modlinbus.plOther wise I would have shared one with you.Jumpy.
flic 16 Oct 2012 #45Thanks, I have done the same and just booked a bus ticket on line using visa which they said was the quickest method. Hoping it will come through before I leave in 4 hours but if not you will know who I am - I'll be the one arguing with the bus driver !Just cancelled it, realising that I won't get ticket in time. Will buy one at the airport.
OP jumpy 1 | 10 22 Oct 2012 #46Thanks to everybody. We used the modlinbus and found them very good no problem. The aircraft arrived early, our ticket was for 11:00 but we got on the earlier bus at 10:30 with no problem. The coach is right in front of the exit doors of the airport. We asked for a time table from the courier and turned up a the time we wanted, payed our money ( 33 pln against 28 pln on-line each ,one way ) and was transported back to modlin, from where the coach haddroped us at Central Station. Next time we will book both ways on-line. The coach was on time both ways with the journey taking approx 1 hour. Thanks again we had a great time. back again same time next yearJUMPY
lyny 24 Oct 2012 #47Hi Agata17, Thanks for the info on Ab Everest, I made a reservation with them since we are arriving late at Modlin. Are you sure this is a reliable company? Thanks, Lyn
Harry 24 Oct 2012 #48I can't speak about Ab Everest as I have never used them. But I have been using Glob taxis for several years and have never had a problem with them (which is more than I can say for most taxi companies in Warsaw).

OP jumpy 1 | 10 29 Oct 2012 #56It is called modlinbus. You can't miss it, it is right in front of the exit doors of the airport.Jumpy.
OP jumpy 1 | 10 30 Oct 2012 #58I think it is from outside the exit doors,Whilst we were sitting on the coach, a bus that looked like a local bus turned up and stopped outside the doors. We used the modlin bus so we don't really know, Sorry.JUMPY.
