Doesn't work like that nowadays - university entry is all based on publicly accessible points schemes.

This was only 2 years ago, she is in her 3rd yr now.

The wszysza szkola system cracks me up too. Full of ppl with not enough points to enter a proper educational establishment

She probably didn't have to pay anyone - UW will be similar to most other universities in that there are courses with laughably low points requirements.

Sometimes the teaching can actually be better - for instance, the languages one in Poznan is actually a better course for those who want as much contact as possible with the language rather than lectures. It's such a shame that they're destroying the NKJO system :(

Unforunatelly you are right:( and we have no specialization at all, on the level of high school it's advantages of our system, but in my opinion higher education should be specialized.
