Libanese born to a Polish mother - applied for Poland's Citizenship. How To Live There?

Dear reader,

thank you for viewing my thread,

I was born to a Polish mother, and now i'm working on approving my polish citizenship. The polish law office i'm working with assures it's a positive feedback, i'll just have to wait for it.

I'm now 25 years old, but i don't speak the polish language and never been there, i also have no contact with any of my polish relatives.

The purpose of this thread is to ask the following:

1- I'm Lebanese, if i travel to Poland using my Lebanese passport, will i be asked for a VISA?
2- Does only being declared a Polish citizenship give me citizenship rights in Poland?
3- If i decide to move there, will i get help getting employed since i'm a polish citizen?
4- will i get benefits?
5- will my Lebanese Banking and Finance bachelor degree be accepted?
6- Can i rent a house and buy a car?
7- Can my wife (if not of a Polish nationality) get a stay permit?
8- When will i get a PESEL number?

I hope i get answers for these.

Thanks for whoever contributes.

1- I'm Lebanese, if i travel to Poland using my Lebanese passport, will i be asked for a VISA?
Yes (certainly if you want to stay for more than 90 days).

2- Does only being declared a Polish citizenship give me citizenship rights in Poland?
Yes, but you will need the documentation too (e.g. Polish ID card and Polish passport).

3- If i decide to move there, will i get help getting employed since i'm a polish citizen?
Not really, no. And what little help there is will be provided in Polish only.

4- will i get benefits?
Not until you have been working for a while. And even after that you don't get much.

5- will my Lebanese Banking and Finance bachelor degree be accepted?
That depends on who you are asking to accept it.

6- Can i rent a house and buy a car?
Yes (but you will need an address at which to register the car).

7- Can my wife (if not of a Polish nationality) get a stay permit?
Yes, once you have your Polish documents sorted out.

8- When will i get a PESEL number?
I think it's a pretty quick process but I've been taking pains for years to avoid getting one myself.

You better apply for Polish passport when your citizenship is confirmed. Then you can stay as long as you want to.

Thank you Harry for your kind reply.

Why avoid getting a PESEL?

@ Cinek, Thank you.

That's what i will do.

@Rani, you should be able to sort out your citizenship issue at the Polish embassy in your country of residence, and I recommend you wait for your Polish passport before you travel (just makes things easier). If your mom is still alive and present with you then her presence will smooth things up somewhat when you visit the embassy.
