Hello. Can anyone help with this question. I understand that if a person is a Polish citizen they can stay visa-free in Italy for 90 days. If I want to be a student in Italy for 7 months, what do I need to do to make sure I legally stay with my Polish passport? Thanks!

You need to have a valid passport, not expiring in at least 3 months to enter Italy. No visa required for Poles. If you plan to stay more than 3 months, apply for "carta di soggiorno" at a local carabinieri or other gov. office (of where I am not sure, check it with any Polish embassy/consulate). For shorter periods you just need to register your address within 24 hours (like Polish 'zameldowanie').
