Vlad, one socialist party in a democracy is not the problem....socialism is!

If living conditions under socialism (economic democracy) for majority of people will be ever not worse than under capitalism, what would a reson for socialist parties to abolish democracy and resort to repressive measures? Majority of people would be satisfied and make no attempts to escape...

How can I prove that something does not exist if there is no proof that it does exist?
No, you have to prove that God exists.
Be logical and grab a brain....

No, you have to prove that God exists.

They can't prove that God exists because they don't even know what it is and how to define it. All they can spout is what God is like - starting with "almighty" - whatever that means.

After that, they backpedal with that "free will" to explain why the "Almighty" is an absentee kind - gone and useless when and where he could help - as he did so well with the Great Flood. That was impressive...One snap and all the undeserving and the deserving dead - newborn infants in diapers included.

My kind of God. We could use him at the border. Or in Ukraine.

Quite interesting that only few German generals and officers been executed for their crimes. Not to mention even common soldiers. I think they have to value it so much! Western leaders protected them.

"50,000 Germans must be killed!"

Churchill began to protest.

"50,000 must be shot!", Stalin insisted.

Churchill, absolutely indignant at Stalin's bloodthirsty demands, now on his feet, dramatically said,

"I would rather be taken out into the garden here and now, and be shot myself, then sully my own and my country's honor with such infamy!"

Roosevelt, watching this exchange, decided to offer his help to the two sparring parties.

"I have a compromise to propose. Not 50,000, but only 49,000, should be shot."

That's when Churchill stormed out of the room.

What kind of fate, do you think, German generals, officers and soldiers supposed to face according to human JUSTICE?

I rise this question because I feel that lastly some Germans started to behaive arrogantly towards Eastern Europeans once again. For example there were some attacks on people and freedom of speech. (I prefer not to explain).

Look up Schwabia and Schwabians, it's not without reason that we Poles use it as a derogatory form of Germans (imagine German arrogance on steroids, wanting/thinking they are right and wanting it their own way no matter the cost)

Vlad, your questions are perfect and the best weapon against mindless sloganeering demagogues. What they dread the most is just what you did - being asked for the specifics and, later, for the evidence.

Are you a lawyer?

East Germany paid for the West....

I can understand that. No country likes, when other countries talk about reparations. Personally, I feel uneasy when Poles talk about reparations from the side of Ukraine for property they've lost. Even so I don't live in Ukraine and don't suppose to care. But on other hand Germany is so-o rich and powerful, that it could easily help to enitire Eastern Europe without any serious losses. For example, by making profitable investments, building factories and sharing technologies. For now only new members of EU are benefiting from something like this, but even they, probably, insufficiantly. One of the few positive examples:

"The Gyor plant (in Hungary) manufactured 1.97 million engines and 164,817 units of the Q3 SUV model family last year. Investments of more than 11.5 billion euros have been made at the facility since Audi started production in the country in 1993."

By the way, Russia still has to pay out giant debt to US and UK, that it accumulated during WWII. And this giant debt have not been cancelled! There was Land Lease program.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lend-Lease
And only recently Russia paid out debt it accumulated during WW I, while it didn't receive any reparations from Germany for gigantic human and material losses in this war.

In grand scheme of things it's merely an gesture and sign of goodwill. You honestly think state of Poland is dependent on reperations from Germany or Poland? It's the honest truth about how to bury a hatchet, if the costs are too high (especially in Ukraines case, especially now it's rather unreasonable to expect Ukraine to even pay single cent during a crisis) then it can allways be providing as much as it can afford it.

In case of Germany economically it's a non-issue cause trade will happen either way cause of Germany's economical position and preference of having diplomatical/trade relationship with Germany and rest of EU for that matter.

With Ukraine however, any emigration to Ukraine, investments, interests, deeper bonds, alliances or better atmosphere is limited due to unresolved differences.

Poland's investments into Ukraine+EU investments would probably outweigh any Ukrainian state budget, but that also requires stability and no prospects of Russian invasions (which seems quite impossible, but who knows)

Any reperations paid to former eastern bloc members went straight to the Soviet Union during the Cold War, so I wouldn't Russia never got anything from Germany. Just not directly

Why Poles destroy monuments of WW II heros? Monuments to famous Soviet generals like Ivan Chernyakhovsky (who crushed fascist hydra) as well as few hundreds of other monuments have been demolished by Poles.

A Russian spekeswomen Maria Zakharova asked them to afraid of God.

According to Walesa, the Soviet soldiers who liberated Poland from the Nazi invaders and died in the process did not deserve to have the monuments erected by them in Poland.

Why Poles destroy monuments of WW II heroes?

Because Poles are emotional imbeciles: If it's Soviet or Russian, it must be evil.
To them, Germany occupied Poland till 1945 and the USSR after 1945. The fact that I didn't see one Soviet soldier in my entire life doesn't register with them as relevant. Still evil occupiers...

I have an idea...Let's level Katyn and use the grounds for an amusement park if the Konev monument is not back up in three days.

Because they were the invaders? My town got almost completely destroyed by Russians. And no, not in fight against Germans

Personally I'm against removing the dead soldiers monument but I completely understand why people want it out.

Let's level Katyn and use the grounds

Such genius and yet using such a stupid example... Do you need me to tell you why it's stupid or do you need me to explain?

Becasue they are not our heros! It is enough we pay for upkeeping graveyards of Soviet soldiers in Poland.
Don't need Soviet generals and such in our country. Maybe if Russia erect monuments of Anders and Piłsudski in Moscow we can reconsider. Why do you care?

Wether somebody wanted to burn our houses, apartments or kill our family members based upon difference in genetics or due to differences in political standpoint doesn't change much does? Dead body is a dead body, lost property is lost property.

Wether the person wanting them to do it was seen as good or bad by whoever. Results were pretty much the same, ******, sad and mortally dangerous.

Red army soldiers (simple folk) would been more respected if it wasn't instances of rape or forced down everybodies throat during PRL era to respect them. I remember my grandpa mentioning that at least Soviets knew what to do with the most Nazi scum. But, you wouldn't hear him say it out loud to avoid being seen as a commie sympathiser...

Certain way of thinking/being is seen very negatively in different cultures.

Ballet can be seen as positive, communism is on same level or worse as Nazi's in Poland. While in Russia ballet is rather positive while communism has been long very positive.
