Aston Martin DB5 is the only one true James Bonds car..., although the Jag looks better.

, although the Jag looks better.

I agree. The Jag has always been a sharp looking ride.

I would really like to have a coupe XK. 2010 and on got a 5.0 engine. And looks good, too.

What do you think about downsizing? Why 5.0 l, why not 1.4 l turbo. On the way to the seaside my car consumed 6.9l/100km on tempomat 130-140km/h. 1.6 l with 156 turbo PS. It is affordable. 12-15l/100km like 5.0 Jag needs is not up to date. With US slow tempo 110 km /h it would be even better, about 4,6l/100km. It is not bad, nobody needs Tesla...

Why 5.0 l, why not 1.4 l turbo.

1.4 L is my lawnmower. It's all about the sound. That's why we remove mufflers.

That can be understandable in a bit insecure 18 yo with his 1st car. After 25 it's embarasing

I would rather be insecure 18 than secure 80. That's why I am looking for a toy, not transportation.

I am ashamed, but my 1.6 l has an sound-synthesizer , at least in "sport" not in " comfort". Brrrum, brrrumm

Low tones connect with power and authority. High pitch is girlie, it's unpleasant and annoying, and that is why women work on lowering their vocal frequencies to succeed. It's a lion vs mosquito thing.

Sound synthesizer produce artificially low tone, can even imitate a double throttle.

Do you really care about that?
I mean the only attention I pay to how my car sounds is whether it works properly or should I break my piggy bank for the garage bill.
Alien 12 | 2,803

Piggy bank can sleep well. This car is not so old.
But I must use "sport" button because I live in mountains. The turbo effect occurs erlier.

What is a sound synthesizer, Is it what we call Headers?

This Tesla owner confuses me.... The first thing I thought is 1970s Ford Pinto exploding or is he using the gasoline to fill up his generator to charge the car?

I don't like anything that runs on batteries.

I suspect that batteries will become obsolete once very cheap methods of biofuel production will be discovered. Petroleum and natural gas will be depleted someday, of course.

Did you notice how some dealers place their cars sideways to fill the curb?

I drove past quite a few of them last week and most lots are completely empty. Im sure if you can find the one you want they will jack up the price also.

How about a 2022 Jaguar? Looks sharp!

@Joker
Sound synthesizer -artificial engine sound.
What is Headers?
Alien 12 | 2,803
2 Jan 2022 #173
So Headers is a real exhaust sound, but my device is producing an artificial sound electronically through car loudspeakers I'm afraid.

Nobody wants the damn things now.
Just wait for a couple of cold days and nights and the battery freezes.
A new battery can cost up to $15,000 U.S.D.

I wouldnt want to be stuck in a snowstorm with an electric car. They seem ok for the city but not very reliable for cross country.
