Exactly what did you 'train' to use them for ?

Exactly why is it your business?

Why do you think ?
Because you have contradicted yourself.
So another question that you seem to be stymied with, Slippery.
What did you train to use a gun for joun ?
Would PROTECTION or SELF DEFENSE be the right answers by the slimmest chance. :-) Hoot !

Would PROTECTION or SELF DEFENCE be the right answers

A slim chance indeed since neither are the reason.

You are however going off-topic to witter about guns, something which isn't an issue in Poland or other developed societies.

So here's something on-topic. We're thinking of buying another car. We lease one, however it has specific modifications not intended for me. I want one largely to use in the city however it should be good to drive across Poland when needed. It should be economical with petrol, have a decent sized engine by European standards and be comfortable.

I'm not looking for a flashy car to prove status and I object to buying new ones since they lose so much of their value as soon as they're driven off the forecourt. Since it's for use in Poland where driving standards are poor, safety is an issue. I usually hire one when in the UK so it won't be driven there.

Actually it was Joker and Allien that took it off topic so quit blaming me to do one of your deflects.
Now where were we, oh yes, the question was, What did you train to use a gun for joun ?
If it wasn't to hunt with and wasn't for sport, and you said you don't need one for self defense that would only leave...............

MY GOSH joun ! you joined the Polish Army didn't you !
Who would have ever guessed.
Corporal joun ! Hoot !

No worries. Taking the off topic threads off topic isn`t such a serious crime in the forum. You won`t be suspended. Relax and enjoy life.

off topic threads off topic

More interesting to talk about cars than indulge Mental Jim's interest in people's lives or nosy questions.

And I do have a genuine question.

Me too, is it possible to buy a Renault in USA?

Of course. If it was possible to buy a Yugo, it is also possible to buy a Reno.

than indulge Mental Jim's interest in people's lives or nosy questions.

Not as bad as you with your fake Jim charactor is it.
You however don't hunt, say you don't need a gun for self defense, and don't enjoy the sport of shooting yet you claim to train with guns.

Something isn't copasetic here unless you are in the military reserves or an International arms dealer in which case I can see why you want to keep it a big secret.

If you are concerned about me blowing your cover just PM me and let me know.

Maybe second hand. They don't sell them there now for some reason. To be fair, the older ones of those marques are nicer than the newer ones.

Something isn't copasetic here unless

Copacetic.

Mind your own business. Fill your head with something useful to you, like repentance for your sins.

Copacetic.

Maybe from you are from but not where I come from.
Technically they are both right which makes you wrong Again. :-)

Mind your own business.

Awe come on Jim, the shoe on the other foot too tight for you ? Hoot !
So why are you training with guns joun ? (snicker - snicker)

$180,000..........very doubtful.

Fibreglass.....won't rust....

I've never liked fibreglass cars. They don't seem safe.

In Poland, the land of bad drivers they're a seriously bad idea.

So why are you training with guns

I'm not.

But have,,,

The reason? Go whistle, Jim...
johnny reb 40 | 7,725

What did you train to use a gun for joun ?

I'm not. But have,

That's what I said, Slippery.
How can we believe anything you say when you twist the truth in such a reckless way.

The reason?

Yes the reason since you are so anti guns in Polish citizens hands.
Nobody is actual saying that you are a hypocrite, it's just you sound a little sketchy here.
What are you hiding from us ?

I've never liked fibreglass cars. They don't seem safe.

15 years ago I had an Renault Avantime. It was a fiberglass car and a very safe car. One of the first with 5 star crash test.

a fiberglass ca

I really dislike this idea.

There's safety, and there's safety in Poland where driving standards are very poor.

@jon357
Last year (2022) 1883 people died on Polish roads, as little as never before.
jon357 71 | 21,124
15 Jan 2023 #890
An improvement, however an improvement from a very bad baseline.

It's worth mentioning also that in the same period there were 1760 road deaths in the UK, a country with almost double the population (67 million as opposed to 37 million).
Alien 12 | 2,773

Well, the roads in Poland are wider, you can drive faster.

Source please explaining the road deaths were by driving accidents and not by medical, construction or any other causes. Please include the same data of UK.

Relatively few

Mostly just bad driving. The Fantazja Sarmacka.

This isn't a debating society.

Have you ever been to Poland and driven on the roads here?
How many Polish drivers do you know?

Mostly just bad driving. The Fantazja Sarmacka.

Correct. The most common, by far, cause of accidents on Polish roads is niedostosowanie prędkości do warunków panujących na drodze - which basically means speeding.
johnny reb 40 | 7,725

This isn't a debating society.

However it is a debating forum.
Does Poland even keep statistics on alcohol related traffic deaths ?

Relatively few

Sources please to confirm your opinion.

It isn't.

Have you ever been to Poland and driven on the roads here?
How many Polish drivers do you know?

which basically means speeding

I remember once when we were driving to Kielce before the new road was built. A guy behind us was tooting his horn and trying to get me out of the way. I was just under the speed limit but he wanted to drive very fast.

You may remember that road, not a safe one, twists and turns, up and down and with houses leading off it. A road to be extra careful on.

When he finally overtook, he zoomed off ahead with some rude gestures.

About half an hour later we passed him. His corpse was lying next to his crashed car.

Drive like hell and you will get there.

Have you ever been to Poland and driven on the roads here?

Yes but it was years ago.
The roads were horrible made for horse and wagon.

How many Polish drivers do you know?

Personally ?
