@Novichok

LS430? Great car they're indestructible. You'll get 300k out of it with regular maintenance. One of the few modern cars that had a wooden steering wheel

Hey, Dirk, you want to go shooting with Joker and me?
I just lost the tranny but decided to fix it for 3600 instead of buying another car. My wife was not happy with my decision but I just couldn't part with 40 gees for a lesser car.

Youre better off fixing it up rather than getting burned by the dealership right now.

We can shoot from the Hip over there.

My experience told me you should sell a car after 200tkm mileage because then comes expensive repairs and every month more repairs.

Still cheaper than a new car payment every month as you watch your new car depreciate.
That old LS 430 will last longer than Rich will.
PLUS, he really likes it.

I have no idea how Lexus does it but this 18-year-old car has no rust - not even a spot - and the paint is as shiny as it was on day one.

I never borrow to buy cars. The idea is that 100% down is painful on the day it's paid but less painful than monthly water torture.

What do you mean with monthly water torture?
OP Novichok 4 | 7,297

Making monthly payments.

Plus the monthly interest which adds another couple of grand to the price of the vehicle.

Every time I walk in, the first question they ask me is if I will be financing.

Financing...I have never done it. I pay always cash. They hate me too.

When I went to buy my first new car they tried to take advantage of me and I told the salesman " I dont care about your vacation" and started walking towards the door. Then 4 of them stood in front of the door and almost blocked me from leaving. lol

Because you bought a minivan from craigslist? lol

Sorry, couldn't resist.. Happy Piatek!

Hey, Dirk, you want to go shooting with Joker and me?

I'm free next weekend, I'm taking my mom and dad out this weekend for Mother's Day to Wisconsin. I think you have my cell.

Financing...I have never done it. I pay always cash. They hate me too.

Same. I pay for cash for everything. On one hand it's bad because it basically means I have no credit score despite having a decent income but good because it means I won't buy stuff beyond my means.

I always push financing on my clients though. A 2% spiff from the bank adds up.

Because you bought a minivan from craigslist? lol

With the exception of my first nice car I've bought all my cars through craigslist too. And sold them there as well. If you're handy with cars and know what to look for when buying a car then it'll save you a ton of money versus the stealership.

I think buying new cars is foolish since it's not something that's going to ever appreciate, except for rare supercars and hypercars. I spend more on watches than cars because certain models go up. For example, a brand new Rolex or Patek from the AD is cheaper than a pre-owned/used one because of simple supply and demand. AD knows this and hate when people flip them but there's not much they can do about it.

Buying new cars with a 30% discount is no longer foolish.

I am sure you could find a top of the range two stroke Lada Samara somewhere in your oblast for 30 percent off. Getting the mix petrol might be a challenge but you can always fill it up with cooking oil

I use vodka. It burns so clean...but the car just can't stay on center.

I haven't seen a man with whom the car wouldn't stand on center.

Windshield to be replaced, a pebble hit it. I will get an electrician as a replacement car. I will describe how it is driven.🚙

Windshield

Windscreen.

Windscreen, sorry. But what is windshield?
jon357 72 | 21,233

Who knows?

A shield against wind, perhaps on a lorry or charabanc maybe.

But what is windshield?

It's normally on a motorbike to shield the rider from wind.

You are 100% correct and if the trolls want to pursue it, they are more than welcomed to google "windshield" and see what comes up. Duh !

That makes sense.

I'd wondered if it was to protect the bonnet, boot or bumpers.

Americans also call windscreens "windshields", but this American website backs up, that a motorbike can have a windshield too.
