If English is the "king" of languages, Rich ol' boy, uhemm, well, His Majesty ought go get new clothes, as from where I'm sitting, the average contemporary user of American English makes a frightful mess of it...starting right at the top with our own Tweeter-in-Chief!

Can't really believe though that you honestly buy the stuff you're posting; nobody can be that foolish:-)

This is splitting hairs.
London has 33 Local Authority Districts composed of 32 Boroughs and The City of London.

Johnny, I misunderstood your English. I thought you said, as per Brexit, that 60 percent of Londoners were in favour (of Brexit) That's what it read like to me anyway.

I misunderstood your English.

Don't surprise me cause hillbilly me never was very good in proper English while expressing myself.

This is splitting hairs.

Not really. It's definitely not the same as the rest of London. It even has a separate police force. It should never, never be classed as a London borough. That's sloppy amateur journalism.

What the f*** does Trump have to do with the subject?

This is splitting hairs.

it really isn't. Not when the City of London has its own police force, and can feed you to the giant white lizards they keep under Bishopsgate.

Here in America we recognize 33 boroughs in London

What America does or doesn't recognise has nothing to do with the number of London Boroughs.

Did you skip Logical Thinking 101?
I don't give a s*** what you think. I just asked a two-choice, simple question even my cat would understand. But, I guess, that was way too complicated to comprehend and answer. Instead, a duck and evade.

Agreed. I can even hear the Russian accent in it ...

I guess your own newspaper doesn't recognize the number of boroughs either if that is the case.

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36612916

Across all 33 boroughs in the capital, 59.9% (2.26 million) voted in favour of remaining in the EU.
You Brits ought to get your act together as one of you two are wrong.

That's typically British. They don't know the numbers of boroughs in Londonistan ...

But since you did not have a mother

No, like I said, he had a mother, she just slunked out of the hospital in shame and left him to be raised by the guys that kept the cigarette vending machines full... very tragic, no bonding with his mother and so he just spouts nonsense at people who wish he was somewhere else...

@Ziemowit

Please respect the British nuances.

We have 33 parts of London.

32 are called boroughs, and the last is called The City of London.

The City of London, for historical reasons operates slightly differently to boroughs, but in all but name, they are effectively the 33rd borough.

It's not that complicated.......

I read Post 29. Twice. Very carefully. And I found absolutely nothing that would justify the last three - idiotic and off-the-subject - responses. To his credit, considering that English is not his primary language, the post contents is clear and feels authentic as far as his intent and the message.

But that was not good enough to the Russian troll sniff dogs here. Instead of commenting on what the guy wrote, the Russian troll patrol of three idiots immediately attacked his background and credibility.

One of the three geniuses can even hear the Russian accent in a post written in a foreign-to-the-poster language. I can see a retard in his post so maybe it's possible to detect a Russian.

God knows about his language - im no expert. But i do know the dude tried to turn a discussion about small change into one about migrants.

Add to that the fact that he has never contributed anything other than abuse and never given any advice about Poland

We Polish people will not allow EU to outstrip us from our dignity and heritage.

Well Polish people do not talk like that.

of transference errors from Russian,

You think?

Can you translate this into a common and coherent English with logically connected nouns and verbs?
Rich Mazur 5 | 2,237
7 Sep 2018  #201
Well Polish people do not talk like that.

Maybe those Polish people who use a foreign language like English do. Did you consider that?
I could point out that your English sucks but I won't because it is not relevant. I am smart enough to add that missing comma after "Well" to figure out the message without nitpicking on insignificant imperfections.

No, you're polluting ts forum with your rants. You don't like it? leave or deal with it. Mr Obronczka - an engineer educated in Poland - lol.

Please do, I care so much. Hey, why don't you follow me around the forum and point out my mistakes and blunders. I mean gramma, spelling what else ..ah commas...!

Yes, do it.

Maybe those Polish people who use a foreign language like English do

No, they just don't talk like that, usage of a foreign language is irrelevant.

Hey, why don't you follow me around the forum and point out my mistakes and blunders.

I won't because (1) I don't care, and (2) I am smart enough to figure out the meaning without being an idiot who is always ready to find a Russian troll under every bed.

OK, Mr ts.
I can spend only so much time trying to figure out coded messages. So, yours will remain unanswered.

Why look under the bed? You're right out in the open товаришь!

You think?

Pretty sure. It's definitely not a Polish person writing. The use of "We Polish people" is jarring as hell, because Poles would rather write "We Polish something something" (as a translation of My, Polacy) if they were about his level in writing, they wouldn't be using "people" because it's implied in Polacy and that would never be translated into writing.

Most common IME is "We Poles" I tell them that "Polish people" is more idiomatic in modern usage but the translation pressure remains very storng.

Shouldn't we call him from now on "товариш Obronczka"?

Yeah, I'd agree actually - I'm thinking about when you see the typical comments online, and We Poles is more common. Either way, they definitely don't use "people" in that way, because as you say, the translation pressure is very strong. Poor guy has to try harder if he wants to fool anyone ;)
