I look at the trees, they all look dead, the animals are no more but be safe in the knowledge that spring will come and the trees are not really dead and the animals (wolves male and female) will be out once more.

Did you star in Being There by any chance? lol

In every man’s life a little sunshine must peek through

Which in my case means that I can put my feet up, put down the disaster recovery plan which tells me how we are going to cope when a 747 lands on our data centre by mistake, grab a cup of the finest Colombian kawa and read some of the latest enthralling posts on PF.

Half way through the reading I used by finely tuned, executive brain to conclude that the Disaster Recovery plan wasn’t that dull after all. Still, I have to save something to read on the train home so I then decided to carry on reading.

As a result of my intensive scrutiny I have reached a conclusion that nothing of any real interest has occurred. As a brief summary:

• Noimmi has finally been banned for good. Let’s home he can afford the treatment on his meagre student income.
• Property prices in Poland are static or declining or increasing depending upon where we are talking about and what sun spot cycle we are currently in. Actually that must be a pretty good economic indicator. Well better than expert analyst opinion anyway. I think my economic advisor was in actual fact an Orangutan.

• There are even more complexities to the Polish language than I knew about. The discussion on plurals was quite good. Or was it the discussions on plurals. In which case should I use a different ending if there were more than 4 discussions?

• I leave it for others to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of multi-racial relationships. All I would say is that if you are in one be careful who you invite to the wedding. Could be more fights than you would want. Mind you, every wedding deserves one good falling out.

• Talking of fights, I never we had so many boxing fans on here. The debate started with Amir Khan then brought in Joe funny sounding name the Italian Taffy and then moved to cover the heavyweight division. The general consensus would appear to be that we would all rather be outside the ring discussing this rather than moving towards an empirically based comparison.

• Spats have been in plentiful supply once more. The Xmas spirit has well and truly dried up. Would we be arguing so much if Bar Above was still open? Who knows?

Well I must return to the day job now. In Chapter 7 I find out what the arrangements are for a replacement coffee machine for all those not killed by the plunging Jumbo. Deep joy.

Thanks Szarlotka,
There seems to be a little lack of Christmas cheer in your edition em...
on second thought it must be due to the closure of Bar Above.

In that case, is there an on-line version of the disaster recovery plan, please?.

There seems to be a little lack of Christmas cheer in your edition em...

That's cos there are still over 36+ shopping weeks to Christmas and when Szarly has written out his Christmas card list <1st attempt> he should start to feel a bit more cheerful ?

Hehehe :)

The sun is shinning yet again upon PF members who almost deserted their posts due to one of the member’s covert dislike for everything Polish. His posts were becoming a turn off for many and ADM – da King finally decided to ban the man forever. That brings me to question on the education system in Scotland, where the banned member claimed his roots.

It seems that the money for his education literally went down the drain and he has to clean his own toilet from now on.

What is new ?
Same old, same old. Filios got replaced with a Polish counterpart Sokrates, who has little to do with the latter, but is planning a siege on Ukraine. I hope he has send an official letter to Kaczynski’s government, so the president would not be surprised when he has to duck the bullets when visiting the Eastern friend, as it seem to be a custom in those areas.

Since Sokrates is also in a process of writing SiFi movie script “Sokrates’ Crusade to Ukraine. The unholy, barbaric land reclaimed by Polish intellectuals in the name of Greek democracy”, I just like to advice him that Hollywood is full of ambitious people like him who often end up waiting on tables and serving Paris Hilton instead.

Lime with your drink?
Apparently, some citrus fruits are not that appreciated by many posters and they decided that it would be good to get rid of them, since the scurvy disease is a thing of the past. Well, we will see how many citrus fruit lovers will go under ground in order to admire the lime green colour in their gin and tonics.

Going in circles
Going in circles usually make our head spin. Usually.
As the history seems to repeat itself, so do the posts on PF. Some PF members have attempted to revive that discussions with digging up old threads, that is the ones that have not been deleted by ADM during the spring and not so spring cleanings. A famous sitcom Nip and Tuck comes to mind, where some godly plastic surgeons remodeled the old (-er) body and presented it an attractive package charging a lump sum of money. Where is Pygmalion I ask?

Sledzio and Polish Vodka
Now we know where Sledzio has been hiding all this time. He was establishing (plastering, no to be confused with being plastered) a new pub in Chicagowo. He is a converted Pole sort of speak despite his limey roots, no to mention his fluent Polish and a familiarity with Polish girls. He was spending so much time in the Polish bar that he finally decided to get behind the counter of his own, so he can serve Polish vodka and lure more Polish beauties in, not to mention have a limitless access to drinks on the house.

Speaking of birds
Some fly high, some fly low and it all depends on which way the wind will blow (poor rhyme). Since winter is well upon us, we are experiencing an unusual tendency of some PF birds to fly to warmer destination. Where else would they be hiding, since PF is one of the most renowned, international destinations? It is OK to check out the new ones out of curiosity, but there is no place like home, as Dorothy said once. I think she was onto something.

Careers
Texas girl has set the Guinness record for the shortest mode career ever, but we are glad she is back posting youtube videos; Vincent has set the record for being nominated for the mode in the most secretive way. We are all happy to have a decent moderators’ team.

Polish motifs
Since it is a Polish forum after all I am glad to report that some savvy Polish businessman decided to increase their cash flow in such a gloomy economy. They targeted army tanks. Not a needle in a stack of hay, mind you but I think that their plan of action (business plan) lacked some important details.

Departure of THE last patriot
I almost forgot about Puzzy’s official departure from PF. It appears that he just happen to have a writer’s block and now he is on his way to recovery, as well as on his way to spend all his life savings by traveling the world.

Delete or not to delete
The latest bickering seems to revolve around what constitutes a “deletable” vs. “non-deleteable” post/thread. Some members claim that freedom of speech is the way to go, some are more stringent and want censorship. The thing is that after all it is a Polishforum and if one sticks to the topic, there is a chance that the remarkable piece of human intelligence will flow in the cyber space for sometime.

Voodoo on pigs
Wildrover is presently facing yet another challenge in a form of wild boars families digging up whole in his garden. It would not be a problem but since he likes to inspect his land during the night, he often finds himself falling into those holes. Many turned up with the advice but Lir suggested that a simple solution in a form of a mountain lions’s urine will be his best bet, since he doesn’t really want to place human hair around his property for the fear of being suspected of voodoo practices. I wonder if he considered using a flashlight, or maybe he just forgot to dig those potatoes he planted in the spring.

Brain doesn’t determine intelligence
Only on PF one can find out that the size of brain is a thing of the past when intelligence is concerned. It is the wiring. I hope it has nothing to do with the barbed wire.

Are we becoming a country?
PF has its own currency. Polson is responsible for this invention, which was quickly approved by the growing number of PF gamblers. I wish that the PM of Canada came with such an idea (Canadian Polar), as that might have saved his political career.

Forgotten but not forgiven
You know who you are.

PF Members practice bickering in a very advanced and sophisticated manner, often illustrating their points of view with pictures/videos and occasional swearing and name-calling.

I find most of the members in the same state of mind as they were 2 months ago. Some things never change.
