To all: if you want to be a minimum "credible", do check your sources before posting any BS found in the net

It is very sad that some of you copy-paste any BS they may find in the net withOUT of course checking your sources. A lot of people are "good" at copying-pasting BS from YouTube and consorts withOUT knowing anything re subject and re sources. This shows stupidity and dishonesty. Being in Internet does NOT make it true...... Some are experts at copying-posting fascist propaganda (sad..)

To those celebrating Easter, have a nice Holiday! :)

ps: my comments refer (among all) to Mafketis posting (Putin financed) FN's coarse propaganda. My conclusion: good idea to know what one posts in onder to be a minimum credible ;). lol!

Maybe that is what some people want to do if it gets their point across.
Also what might not be credible to you might well be to someone else. It's very hard to find any source that doesn't have some sort of bias going on, although obviously links to well regarded news sources are better than links to what amounts to nothing more than a blog.

It's not just YouTube vids that are the problem though. Personally, i don't like to see such sources as Breitbart, RT, Liveleak and anything involving everyone's favourite conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.......there's a lot of bull out there to wade through........

Yes, I think you are right about it. Mafketis copy-pastes a lot of BS being particularly fond of Putin and FN of France.

Truth, add to that The Guardian, Gazeta Wyborcza, Daily mail, Fox news and many more.

copying-pasting BS from YouTube

The young turks would be the classic source example for that one.

RT *can* be good at times. This is quite a decent analysis for instance -rt.com/news/337128-emirates-pilots-fatigue-scandal/

Breitbart

This on the other hand is just garbage. It's an unashamedly biased news source that exists solely to torment self proclaimed conservatives.

Fox news

Terrible reporting! I particularly liked the apology they had to make to the residents of Birmingham ( UK, not Alabama )

You may well be right but I've read too much heavily biased stuff in the past to bother reading anything by them these days.

garbage

Which brings me to another organisation many on here link to.......gatestoneinstitute.org

Yeah, it's difficult with them - I find that it's good for stories such as the FlyDubai crash, but very very poor when it comes to anything that needs to have a political slant.

Well of course ;)
But if you are pro Russian then it's going to suit your views/agenda to link to it, whether it's credible or not, which is more or less what I said in my first post.

Let's face it, links are one of the things on this site which have been used by many to try to destroy a person's credibility.

Shooting someone down in flames for their links is still a commonly used tactic on here ;), although I'm not suggesting InPolska has started this thread for that reason. I do know where she's coming from on this, I tire of reading what I consider to be BS links too, but I doubt starting a thread about it is going to have any effect tbh.

Me, too. Someone had the "audacity" to post a link that showed France in a bad light and InPolska doesn't like that, as we all know... :)
