Meanwhile to get back On-Topic.......AGAIN !
Iran's football federation have appealed for the United States of America to be expelled from World Cup 2022.
The US removed the Islamic Republic emblem from Iran's flag on social media graphics, ahead of the pair's clash on Tuesday, claiming they didn't want to use the official flag to show "support for the women in Iran fighting for basic human rights", amid mass anti-government protests in the country.

Hopefully the brave protestors at home do away with these nutters in Teheran soon....

I'm squeezing my thumbs for the Chinese too....maybe one good thing will come out of that pandemia....the end of the nutters in Peking (one can hope, huh:)

It's better to be raped by a white guy.

No, it's equally bad

I agree. However, given the choice...

No, the colour of the perpetrator really isn't a thing.

Iran has threatened families of players on the Iranian World Cup team with "violence and torture" if the players don't "behave" in the match vs. the United States men's national team today.

Iran has a "large number" of security eyeing how the players act while in Qatar.

n World Cup team with "violence and torture" i

I think they will try and defect to another country. I would.

The US wont take them coz Biden is too chicken and doesnt want to offend the Iranians. Dont mind those "death to America" chants.

I cant think of anything more that would pi$$ off the AhyaToilet right now.

If they don't sing the national anthem again, they'll probably have to ask for political asylum in the US. Novi won't like it.

I think they will try and defect to another country. I would.

The national football team is way too high profile to be at risk of being detained. They're probably the only public figures in the country who can get away with almost anything.

A protester ran onto the field yesterday carrying a rainbow flag and wearing a blue Superman T-shirt that said "SAVE UKRAINE" on the front and "RESPECT FOR IRANIAN WOMAN" on the back during a World Cup match between Portugal and Uruguay.

Gay flags and entire are banned from the games.
Qatar said fans must respect the Muslim culture of their country.

@jon357
I was talking about them trying not to go back to Iran. I would.

Probably me too, however they're national heroes there and almost untouchable.

Iran is a strange country. A lot more there than, say, Iraq which is basically sand and a few crappy towns. It's more urban (in parts) and more of a culture. Things there could go badly or could go well. If they really can get rid of the crazies in government (and they do have 'normal' politicians too) it could become a very good place to be.

banned

culture of their country.

As everybody who's ever been to a high school knows, things don't get banned unless they happen a lot...

Iran passes through the group and leaves behind two homosexual national teams.

Iran vs. America is going to be a firecracker of a match.

1

Pulisic scores to give USA a 1-0 lead.

He gets injured by receiving a blow to the "sensitive" area. America loses its best player.

Iran needs a draw to go through.

I'd be happy with that. Better than being up against Brazil.

Three good results today, England, Senegal and the US and one OK one, Netherlands/Qatar I was 50-50 about that. I like the coffee shops in Holland and the round cheeses however I've lived in Qatar so it was 50-50.

If we win this WC, the amount of gloating I'm prepared to do will make your shameless 2014 gloating look mild. 😂🤣

Do American fans know another fan chant besides "USA"...? Only if they still shout "defense", maybe I didn't notice it...
