I forgot the 10% of Israelis who are Maghrebi Jews, about half of whom have recent roots in Morocco.

So that's about a third of Israelis who will definitely be cheering on Morocco tonight and probably quite a few more there, given some of the politics in Argentina, especially the awful types like Eichmann who they helped shelter after WW2.

And of course not to forget that the Moroccan team and their fans present themselves as the greatest friends of Palestine....I guess they wish Israel would be gone! Like the rest of the Arabs.

Of course; I watched most of the match and was very pleased by that indeed. Tunisia did well. A small country too, and a former French colony that's never been able to fully shake off their malign influence..

That was the group stage though; sadly they progressed beyond that.

I love France and the French, not so keen on Argentina and Argentinians.
