Germany is OUT

Sayonara!

are a bunch of lilly-livered pussies that they have.to wear helmets and body armour unlike the real men that play rugby union and rugby league

It would probably surprise the shermans to find out that a lot of rugby league players do a full week's work in heavy industry and play in the evening and weekend. Unlike their 'american football' players who spend their time getting manicures, facials and curating their social media profiles.

'american football' players who spend their time getting manicures, facials and curating their social media profiles.

They have to keep up their image on their billion-dollar yachts and multimillion dollar homes.
The average NFL football player makes almost 3 million per season (and the stars over 100 million) while the top U.K. Rugby player only makes 300,000. per season.

That is why Rugby players can't afford the luxury's of life. :-)
Meanwhile to get back On-Topic the U.S.A. plays soccer tomorrow morning vs. the Netherlands.

Multimillionaires don't need a real job.

How many are multimillionaires

That is not in any sense a positive thing about them, now, is it....

don't need a real job

Playing american football isn't so much a real job as posing.

Excellent. look forward to the yanks getting smashed while i smoke a joint in honour of the amsterdam tourist/red light district, and the Rembrandt Museum and Anne Frank House right next door

Lucky you. I'll be on a rickety plane somewhere in Africa wishing I was smoking a joint.

It'll be restricted, i reckon keep the weed places and move the open window brothels somewhere else, which is what they're aiming at. as always it's your countrymen and their stag parties that are to blame. prob a 500 pound tax on stag parties/groups should sort it out.

I'll be on a rickety plane somewhere in Africa wishing

do tell, i love my exotic african airlines and their old 737s, i'm a nigeria boy myself,

They do pull a lot of tourists in, though some of the most touristy ones could do with moving so you don't get the great wafts of smoke in the street. The locals' ones are always nicer.

as always it's your countrymen and their stag parties

Cobblers. I'm in the Netherlands rather a lot and have never seen that or anything like it. Most of the troublesome ones drive over from Germany or France. And the Dutch (our cousins) like rowdy fun too. Go to Eindhoven on a Friday night and it's all there to see, and the area behind Leidseplein in Amsterdam is wild enough with Frogs, Krauts, Dutch and more than a few Poles.

You'll be reassured to know that the tarts in the Amsterdam Red Light District don't ask for ID though.

yep that's what i did after a few times , a great memory was being homeless in the tourist district for a few days and then staying in that five star hotel overlooking damplatz. naked on the balcony looking at the lion sculputre on the square, or was it a lion? the polaks who worked there were always dodgy tho. after that next visits stayed in the burbs and hanged out with the owner of the local who had local clientle.

You did right. In the canal ring there are a couple of nice ones that don't get the tourists, Amnesia on the Herengracht which is sort of Eurohipster, dear and arty but very good and too far for the kids to stagger to plus Tweede Kamer by that lovely convent with the garden which is tiny and a haunt for people whose heyday was in 1981.

The Eindhoven ones are well worth it too, and a lot cheaper.

God save us from Greenhouse or the others like that, full of 18 year olds fresh off the Ryanair and pounding music. It's right in the middle of the centre on the Damrak. I know locals say they never ever walk on that street however it's their equivalent of Warsaw's Royal Route. I pity the King and Queen there going between the palace and the station in their limo having to wave at them.

Funny we should get on that topic, and ('scuse the rambling) I don't believe in coincidence but just happened to look for something in the pocket of a coat I'd not worn for ages and bingo.

;-)

i remember when i was homeless in amsterdam, just trying to chill in the cold, and i heard these polish guwinaze/wanname gangsters say mi za jebemie tego palanta cause i was homeless, with my luggage and lost, had to walk/run from these polak ******* for about 2km through amsterdam cbd, i was the prey, funny game. then i finally had to break the handle of my luggage, and go up to them, and say i will **** you up unless u leave me alone.

It's got that side to it there. Holland isn't short of gangsters.

Ah, to be cold, alone, stoned and in trouble, on a cold, wet night in a European capital. It gets worse the older you are but at least you've usually booked somewhere. I get in to places like that late, knackered and just with Africa clothes and something always goes wrong.

do tell, i love my exotic african airlines

This one p1sses water on you when you're sat on it because all the bog paper stuffed in the gaps isn't enough. Old Embraer 170s or a Dash. Going somewhere with an airstrip not an airport.

The alternative is 11 hours across a dozen checkpoints and through rebel held areas which I did a couple of times and wasn't as bad as it sounds. Good grilled meat on the way but long and bumpy.

This time it's a nasty journey to the country and a couple of nights in a hotel. There's a risk in wandering about there, but it's ok if your careful and people are generally ok. They like football so it'll be on everywhere.

Germany wins the match 4-2 but is out ?
How does that work ?

One game decides nothing; the accumulation of points in three games is the deciding factor. Like baseball, the best of seven.

curating their social

Yeah, Jon, but what are you trying to say?

Most RL players actually have real jobs too.

The despicable, gut-shot hyenas, AKA soccer players, sometimes called funny fish flapping on the sandy beach, shameless fakers, multimillionaires.
What a fu*k is their real job rehearsing flaps and fake injuries? All fakers would be in the hospital after one week of football training.

And you, Jon, are talking about real jobs?

Yeah, football/soccer players aren't exactly poor either and they don't have any other job...

the tarts in the Amsterdam Red Light District don't ask for ID though.

Nor do their clients ask for their IDs either. And those "tarts", as you call them, are often victims of human trafficking.

they don't have any other job...

...because they have no other skills that are essential to the tribe's prosperity and sustainability.
Actually, they are worse than just parasites. They are parasites that incite riots and cause other parasites to damage things.

They like football, so it'll be on everywhere.

Boring game invented by some simpletons. Sure popular in every corner of the world. You need only two sticks or stones instead goal posts; cow pasture as a playing field is sufficient, and one does not need shoes, so sure is popular because the games we play are beyond the comprehension of a camel driver. Equipment prices

would drive the Beduin family straight to a poor house, which is one reason for soccer's popularity. Eliminating stupid off-side and dispensing yellow cards for faking injuries

would be significant first steps toward game improvement.

2-2 score at the half

I am watching, love, and hate abnormality. I even play organized soccer ( right-wing trzecia liga), but I hate cray-babies, faking ******* that make the game what it is today. Not even bringing stupid rules to the discussion. As far as the Swiss and Serbia are concerned, why would I care about the Swiss, probably as much as they care about Poland; Serbians are Slavic brothers who are getting the short end of the stick because of politics. The hell with politics; sports should be none political.

@Przelotnyptak1, Serbs are not Slavic brothers, they are RuSSia's brothers.

The last time I checked, Serbs were Slavic. In this instance, I am not looking from a political angle but rather the lens of a sporting event.

Russia's atrocious behavior in Ukraine is another story, and I strongly condemn any person or country siding with Russia.
I am saddened much more to see Slavic blood painting the Ukrainian countryside. What is the reason that we, the Slavic brothers, are at ich other troats?

Western Europeans are laughing at us. Brits are not invading Australia, New Zealand, Germany, not carving Austria. So what is wrong with Russia?
