This will be the first NYE I will spend sober since 2007

Due to recent events I have quit alcohol.
It's no longer something I can mess with.

I'm addicted to the feeling of being drunk.
It made things like watching music videos and playing games so much more fun.
Imagine when you were young and doing something you love for the first time, alcohol would give me that feeling.

Tonight I will be enjoying a wholesome and sober celebration while playing quake 1 maps I downloaded from Quaddicted.com as well as my newly purchased PS3.

I'll probably watch some movies too.

My plans are, ordering a pizza and playing online chess tourney. Yay! what fun! lol. I must be getting old or smarter??? I know, I wont have a hangover in the morning:)

Perhaps, one glass on champagne with the old lady at midnight, thats all. Champagne is horrible btw..cant understand how ppl actually like the taste🤮

I didn't know you played chess. Do you play on chess.com or somewhere else? I played in tournaments in high school and college, but haven't played in one for a while. Occasionally at work I'll play against a computer or live opponent. What's your ranking? The highest I ever got was 1800 but I've likely fallen to like 1600 now.
